Umm watch out for avies 6 inch slab over 2 inches of surface hoar, last I checked. Dig a few pits and stay safe. www.avelanche.org check the 'chugach' link.

u can stay off of exposed slops usally when building a jump.

and i wouldent take those reports at face value, nor would i a single pit. To really be safe in the backcountry u gotta put everything together.
