Turn it in.com

that is the worst site in the world.....my fucking teachers use it....and i guess that it takes ur work and runs it through an internet database and if 3 or more of your words match the order of 3 or more words from another paper, it notifies ur teacher that you plagiarzed.....ur best bet is to just take an extra hour and truthfully write ur papers

That's gay... what if you cite something, and still, even 3 words isn't plagiarizing, maybe there's no better way to say it. Pretty gay.

you buy the paper online and they email it to you, that way its not posted anywhere public, but cmon chris im even writing mine...

If you get somebody else to write this for you, its plagiarizing, and you can get by unless this person who is writing this for you is plagiarizing as well.

haha this kid in my english class paid $50 for a paper and ended up getting caught. The funny part is that the teacher googled it and a free version came up, so pretty much he paid to get a 0.

yeah we use that at my uni too..

worst progression ever.

plagiarism isn't a good way to gain knowledge though.

you've got to be a shit head to get caught with that, i have to use it with almost every paper, all that you have to do is change the order of the words and add filler words for each sentence.

ya but the thing is once it is scanned into the database and checked, they keep it in the database for further checking, so even if it is not in google or somewhere on the internet, they will see that there are a bunch of papers that are exactly the same, and claim plaigerisim

do your own work, or drop out of school. there are plenty of jobs out there that do not require any skill at all.

on an interesting side note turn it in uses your work to turn a profit. It takes your words and uses them inorder to provide a service which it charges for...turn it in charges schools to use your paper and won't give you a cent. i think thats a little fucked up.

I thought about a way you might be able to get past it. Put quotations at the beginning and end of your paper and change their color to white. Then make up a fake source to go with it and turn that white too. If all goes according to plan it will read your entire paper as a quote and it will come back as 0% plagiarized. I dont have the balls to try it so i dont know if it works, but if it does id love to hear about it.

i can't remember submitting a paper and ticking anything allowing them to publish my work without my direct permission

i was going to do the exact same thing but i didn't have the balls, and i'm sure they have thought about that..

there is probably something in there which identifies quotes more than 100 words and queries them or something

just site the stuff. you obviously have to be smart about it and can't be too blatant. but if you cite the stuff then they cant get ya.

my teachers use that and i found a way to get around it.

all you have to do is get your research, rephrase your sources, then add some of your own knowledge and cite your sources. its foolproof dude im telling you....

students here at mcgill protested that school doesnt have the right to use that site to check our papers and they won for some reason

someone needs to subscribe to turnitin for a month or whatever to minimum time is saying they are a teacher, and test this... i don't know if you have to have proof that you are a teacher or not?

It seems like it would be harder coming up with a foolproof way to plagiarize a paper than actually just writing it the way you should
