Turbo= huge let down

That's why you're supposed to never expect anything good from life, so that when bad things happen, you aren't suprised, and happyness is greatly appreciated.

noooo way.....journal had its few banger shot but other than that it was really boring and dragge on.......turbo was soooooooooooooo redic.

I loved turbo, right now this is my ranking on the year
1. Turbo2. Journal3. Reasons4. Get Lucky5. Claim6. Such is life7. Under the Influence8. Hunting Yeti

What?

heres my rankings 1. turbo 2. slamina! 3. reasons 4. such is life 5. hunting yeti

i have only seen these 5 movies.

Turbo is number one, then reasons, and then massive even though i havent seen it yet, but Tanner is the man so i know itll be the dopest.

whhhhhaaaat?!! turbo was amazing best level 1 movie since shanghi six. how can you deny the amazing intro, wallisch's zero spin, wesson's i don't even know what to call it... and then alaska. come on you can beat that. i very much disagree with you, i guess we like different things in ski movies

i thought all the footage was awesome but from alaska on the music blew and tottally killed the sickness but wow will wesson is amazing

I know that most of you guys might disagree, but i thought hunting yeti was the best this year. I mean, that soundtrack was siiccckkkkk.

Although the undergrind was the coolest thing I have seen in a while, I was still disapointed. I thought that Wallisch's part was not as good as it could... no should have been. Also I just didn't like the overall feel.

Is this a fucking joke??

Wallisch threw done shit no one has ever dont before, all in one segment, with a fucking dope song.

IMO his best segment to date. One of the best of all time.

I love everything about those guys. They're super laid back, the skiing is super sweet and they always have a great soundtrack. Idea was great too, especially since it came with the soundtrack, I love that music, it's great.

Just got Turbo today and I've watched it twice.

The quality of the footage and the shots is the best Level 1 has ever produced. Every shot is aesthetically pleasing and so crisp, in this respect I would say its the best movie they have ever made.

T-Rain's first shot in the movie blew me away. Actually all of those shots on that massive BC kicker to start things off were crazy. Then they sort of lost me throughout his BC pow shots, and sucked me right back in with the Windells edit.

Wallisch and Harlaut absolutely destroyed that jump. Wallisch's double and his zero were unreal. I was convinced Harlaut's sw 14 was a sw 10 until I heard Berman say in the commentary that it was a sw 14. I didn't even realize it. Tanner is right, that kid has MAD fucking skills.

This Level 1 movie def had the most BC pow shots I've ever seen in a movie by Berman. I was shocked they ended the movie with Thomas dropping a double stager. What is that supposed to mean? Are they transitioning from jibbing to big mountain? Guys, please stick with your bread and butter!

Overall, in a time where ski movies are impressing me less and less, Turbo got me stoked to ski this winter. My mom came in my room wondering what the hell was going on cause I was yelling 'HOLY SHIT' several times. Nicely done.

Turbo is next on my list to see. But im not going to lie, I generally only like one Level 1 segment per movie of theirs, and that one segment is usually amazing. Beyond that their movies tend to let me down.

took the words right outta my mouth, but i havnt seen turbo. Unfortunatly it wont wow me like thats it thats all did, even watching massive on shrooms was boring compared to watching thats it thats all.

high 5 was the last great level 1 movie. the trailers for the last few have been great but the movies have all been sub par. shit I fell asleep during long story short, and every one was jumping on that one. My guess is that it does not matter what is in the movie, but as long as it has the level 1 name attached the vast majority of this site will love it to death.

LSS?

but yeah, thread poster... If you didnt already get it, pretty much no one agrees with you. Turbo was sick, end of story. ( i wasn't impressed by brogan at all though...?)

I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!

you're entitled to your opinion, but have you even seen turbo?

the problem here is that you obviously haven't seen Head for the Hills because it belongs at the top of that list haha... but to the thread creator, not sure what Turbo you watched, but I know the one I have is pretty damn epic.

Interesting. I haven't seen as many movies yet this year, but my ranking is quite the opposite.

1. Hunting Yeti

2. Such is Life

3. Reasons

4. Turbo

.........turbo was by far the best movie. i dont know what your thinking. definetly the best one

no, why would I pay for a level 1 movie any more.

they keep coming out with mind blowing trailers and then the movie is really nothing special (yet everyone on here loves them to death) It would be idiocy to buy it, you know the saying about doing something again and again while expecting different results thing, ya that saying applies here.

I bought shanghi 6, thinking high 5 was amazing, the trailer was amazing, surly best movie of the year, I was disapointed.

Next year I bought Long Story Sort, thinking sure Shanhi Six was not great, but there allways are those bad years where something just does not work out. the trailer was still amazing. I was supper disapointed, I fell asleap watching it the first time.

Last year I decided not to bother spending money on Level 1 movies. The mediocracy of the last two movies had lost me as a customer. I still got to see Real Time, since a friend had a copy, again nothing special.

So this year I am thinking should I spend $30 to give a company a 4th chance when it has blown the last three? No, I won't. If I have spare time some day and there is a copy sitting around, i might watch it, but I most certainly won't be spending money on it.

Why i am posting in this thread is because it does not surprise me that someone would be disapointed by Turbo, given that the last 3 movies have been less then entertaining. Neither does it surpise me that the vast majority of this site will still stand up for the movie saying that it was best of the year or even ever. It happens every year, no matter what the quality of the movie is.
