Tuesday 12/27 rain forecast (or snowcast?)

apparently it is supposed to rain in southern vermont tomorrow afternoon (ludlow area)

I am just wondering if this will mean snow above the snow line or if I should just change my ski plans?

I am speaking of ludlow or bondville. okemo and stratton respectively

it shouldnt start raining til about 5 pm tomorrow. so you may be ok for tomorrow.wednesday though is iffy. with an inch of rain possibly falling tuesday night wednesday is a tossup.

We needed the track of this storm about 200 miles to the south of where it's going to run. We're stuck on the warm side. Rain likely at all elevations as wind from the south brings warm air in. The wind will cause higher elevation temps to rise quicker than sheltered valleys will, but all elevations will see rain.

Temps drop like a rock tomorrow with the passage of a cold front. Might snag a few inches of snow on the backside of the rain but the trails are going to setup rock hard and it will be dust on crust.

Clipper-type system Thursday night-Friday will bring some potential for light snow to VT, but nothing spectacular.

GFS shows the same feature developing in the same general area around the same time period and ejects it out to the atlantic in the ensuing time period that the euro does not cover.

It's a full week out, lots to change. Could be worth keeping an eye on, but not worth getting excited over as it could easily get pushed far out to sea.

One thing is clear, it's going to get quite chilly in the northeast early next week.
