Tuckerman's this year

I am considering going this year with cgski. I will be my first time, cgski has done it before. His patrol friend will be tagging along. Hopefully some mid-week spot in the first or second week in April.

Anyone else? Anyone want to shed some stoke?

I was thinking first week, maybe second. Want to get out there earlier. My buddy wanted to do Hillman's but it's looking pretty bare from the pictures on the avy center's site

I was up at tuck in february and the snowpack was VERY boney for that time of year. Early april would definitely be best and thats when i'm planning on doing it. Hillman's is probably a no go this year

Generally second week and April seems to be the best time any year unless it's absolute shit like last year. I have never been so take this with a grain of salt but seeing videos on youtube from the 17th coverage looks good, while crevasse danger isn't immediately a threat yet.

If the snowpack hasn't held up this year the last week of march or first of April may be better.

you never know...it all depends on which way the winds blow during storms. keep your eye out on the cam

my dads gone up every spring for over 20 years with a huge crew and ive done it 4 or 5, its amazing up there, I can't wait until April!
