My brother broke his phone somehow (not sure how) so my mom helped him pay for a new Sony Ericsson which in two weeks he accidentally washed! So my mom used my replacement phone credit to get him a new phone which was a MotoROKR E8:

This phone is easily twice as good as the new phone he wrecked and cost twice as much. I told my mom that he just wrecked a good phone in two weeks and that he'd likely trash this one too. My brother also has a long record of phone abuse, and by stating the obvious, she gave me the phone since I had never lost or trashed any of mine.

My brother saw it as me whining to my mom and then stealing the phone from him, so he has started to hold a grudge against me and told all his friends to call me phone stealer. (I'm positive that he's friends with half the people in his grade.)

So do you think my brother is just being petty about this or should I have not recieved the ROKR?
 
You just won yourself a new cellphone and made your brother look like a doofus; no wonder hes kinda pissed...but on the other hand this isn't a reason for you to feel bad! You won this one! feel proud and don't let your brother get you down; you just owned him!
 
piss him off, keep showing him your phone and tell him how nice it is all the time. maybe he'll learn to not lose phones anymore. and god forbid all of his 15 year old friends call you a "phone stealer"
