well, i'm not one to say that you should never buy and ipod. because they kick ass, they really do, BUT, if yours was like mine, and a ton of my friends, they can also be a huge pain in the ass. since they are mac, they dont connect to PC's very well, anyone who has problem with thier ipod being recognized would know how anoyying it is. then in my case my 60 gig color ipod broke 5 times in the 2 years i had it, when it broke i had to send it to the factory every time. then it ran out of warrenty so they wanted to charge me for a new one, FUCK THAT.

i had enough of apples ipod problems, SO!, as seen in the freeskier ad (it just occured to me this seems like advertizing, ((sorry its not!!!))) the ZUNE is what i think is the next big wave. its got a 3 inch screen, a radio, and the ability to send songs to your friends WIRELESSLY. now the best part, it connects to your windows pc perfectly, EVERYTIME!! and all the video's on your computer that you had to convert and do whatever to for your ipod video, HAH, the zune and gigabeat (another model, non wireless tho) acept most forms that are on your computer, and windows media player will convert them for you if they arent the right type! no messing around with other programs.

bottom line, do some research before you put down that ipod on your chirstmas list, i personally think Windows has got something here.

(disclaimer: i dont want to hear that apple is awsome for you and i should shut up, because i believe you, sometimes ipods are awsome, but some people might want to look into the zune, its got better features and is just a little less known. thanks for reading all this)
 
yeah i saw that zune ipod thing in freeskier too.. i got a mini though but ill have to check that zune out
 
the Zune is definitely sick, but i have a hpillips one, with neon lights on the touchpad, and its sick as well. theres one 6gb, the one i have, and a 30gb one. the only thing missing is its not video, i wish it had
 
worst part of ipods is when my mini broke, i was forced to buy another ipod, cause all my music's in itunes and its a pain and nearly impossible to convert it all to something acceptable for another type of mp3 player
 
i was thinking about getting one of these, i havent checked up on them yet bat apparently their competing with iPods this christmas and doing apretty damn good job
 
i dont know what you do to make your ipod fuck up that much dude. ive hade mine 2 years, never broke. ive used it with 3 different pc's, no problems at all.
 
i've had an ipod for 4 years now and no problems. it wouldn't work with my comp at first, but that was cuz the comp had windows ME, the worst invention in microsoft history. It's easy to say oh one of my friends broke, but that's out of how many people? It'd be easier to list the people who dont have ipods than the people who do and barely any have serious problems. they're a little extra money but I think they're worth it for the compactness and definately the best configured mp3 player I've seen.
 
i know i can see how people dont have problems, but even so, can ipods play radio? can ipods send songs wirelessly? can ipods record live tv? no. i used to be an ipod fanatic too, even while it was breaking on me and everything, buuuut, the zune kicks major ass, thats all i'm saying.
 
Just a note on how you share music with the ZUNE. It can be sent wirelessly to other people but that song can only be played three tiems and then it is deleted. Just thought you all should know.
 
yeah my ipod mini is a beast, i love it...i got one of those plastic kinda thick cases for it and it takes so much beating, its fine
 
well this wireless sharing thing only lets u play the sent music 3 times or have it for 3 days then it deletes its self. kinda gay if you ask me

haha yeah i read that..i agree on some aspects of what hes saying but some of the stuff i don't agree with him
 
haha, the whole article is rediculous. his only reason for why it sucks is that it doesnt look good. other than that he just rambles on about things that are completely irelevent (sp?)
 
yes but the song name is stored in the zune memory so you can go back and see what the song was and then go download it. i think its just their way or stopping piracy.
 
I've never had problems with my ipod and PC. I've also never had problems either. I had some minis die but they replaced them for free, and my 20gb died once but i got a brand new one. I love my ipod, and i look forward to gettin a white 30GB video.
 
yeah ur right.. i don't think there really that bad but the ipod is def. more popular and more ppl will go with that over the zune
 
zunes are being reviewed as the biggest pieces of shit ever.

just wait to buy the ipod touch screen next year. its been leaked and looks AMAZING.

so yeah. fuck zune AND ipod this year.

wait for the next gen ipod.
 
im sorry but apple ipods are on top as far as the mp3 industry goes... and all these new things like the 'zune' and stuff, there's way too many downsides to those. Ipods connect just fine to pc's. I just think your going to regret getting this 'zune' business. lame!
 
IT hasn't been leaked and it's just a fan made idea of what it will look like. Apple is really tight with their security.
