Try This Editor... What do you think?

way too much shit in there....simple is better. do we really need anything more then text, links and pics in here?
 
Holy hell that's a lot of options. I would have an e-orgasm for sure. Perhaps maybe a bit much for some though...ahem.
 
I like having alot of options to make peoples blogs original with different texts and what not. It doesnt look messy at all to me. I like it.
 
its not that complicated guys. i think its actually pretty simple if you have used microsoft word and all. i wouldn't mind having that editor. you could do more with style thats for sure.
 
The editor we will use will not be as full featured as that one. We will use a trimmed down version that lets you change text properties and add links & images.
 
I like the idea of a button to click like "add picture" and the IMG tags are automatically added, or "add bold" stuff like that. but anything about heading, titles, or a list of mad weird fonts will clutter the site. simple is key. which is what makes NS so user friendly and easy to read. not too much goin on, or banner sized signatures.
 
Simplicity and user-friendliness of this site is one of the key factors that really seperates this site from the million of other forums out there. It's one of the elements that really puts it above and beyond.

One reason Google has done so well is for the same thing. It's simple. It's straightforward. And it works.

Different font sizes, lots of color, and smiley faces, just adds to the clutter and does more harm than it does good.

Now, with all that aside. You've put alot of work and careful thought into everything you've done with the site thus far. And exceeded far beyond my expectations. There's no doubt in my mind that all this will come out sick.
 
i agree, all the cahnges up to now have been sick, but i think that having a post editor will somewhat make this site like other un-original web forums.
 
^I agree, I dont think we need to change text colour, size, or font, or really anything else. And similies, I hate similies, they'll just make the forums look worse.
