TruTV's worlds dumbest wants

That's pretty awesome - but also shitty that you'll be one of "those guys" on worlds dumbest.
 
so are you letting them or no? personally i would rather not have a bunch of washed up c-ist celebrities fail miserably at trying to be funny whilst insulting people performing things they know literally nothing about.

Do you get anything if your clipi gets put on trutv? If not then I definitely wouldn't let them. Fuck those guys
 
Exactly. They'll just take it, make up some fake names, and post it on their site if you don't give it to them.
 
This seems like an interesting decision to make. You could get some national exposure and some money, but the exposure you would be getting may not be what you want. I personally find the show funny, but I can't decide if I would want to be on it. There are a lot of possible pros and cons. I am interested to see what decision you make.
 
If you don't mind me asking, how much are they paying you for the clip? I've always wondered how much people got compensated for these types of things
 
Make sure it's worth it and that you retain the copyright of the shot. I'd check the contract a couple times to make sure you're not releasing it to any number of different outlets and restricting it to only one episode / series.
 
I have.

On all contracts that we signed, I only have it allowed on one episode, although the episode can be repeated and repeated whenever the network wants. I have non exclusively signed all of the contracts, so I do retain all legal rights to the video.

TruTV's World's dumbest never really seemed super interested and willing to work, so I stopped trying with them.

I am still in talks with Ridiculousness, and hopefully should find out in a week or two with an air date. Season two starts april 30th, so my clip won't be on til mid summer, at least.

And I don't really feel that it is necessary to explain how much each outlet bought my clip for. I can tell you that break.com bought it for $200, which is the standard among first buyers across the board
 
t hall was on that show when he broke his ankles hitting chads. They called him "Talon Manning" and said that he broke his ankles because he the trick on a video game and thought he could do it in real life. tru tv- ITS TRUE!
 
Well yes and no to TruTV..

There is a show on TruTV that my video will be on, although its not going to be on Worlds Dumbest. The show is titled "not safe for work" and is just another generic clip show
 
only do it if they are paying you the $$$$.if they dont wanna pay tell em to fuck off.and no matter what show it goes on its gonna be shit and look like shit
 
I died.

I really hate that show though. All of the stupid attempts at jokes just piss me off especially because they have no idea what they are talking about.
