you guys are all kooks.

-no one in office wants to take your guns

-its bipartisan that the border needs to be tightened up

-fentanyl is from china brought in primarily by boat and typically mixed into drugs at a local level

-no one should be assassinated

-a political opinion has never been changed on the internet, you’re just regenerating what you heard from youre favorite media outlet and you look stupid doing it

-50 cent has been shot more than trump

Wrong about the fentanyl. It's originally from China but it's almost all coming through mexico. I spend lots of time with drug research and testing.

What weapons are used for both? I know it's a hard one to answer.

I know it’s hard to grasp when you believe in bankrupt moral equivalencies but gun violence, no matter how horrible and egregious is not equivalent to political violence. Political violence destabilizes any faith people have left in the institutions of government. For the same reason that we need to prosecute every January 6th insurrectionist, we need to stand united against political assassinations. Our government isn’t great but it’s a lot better than no government.

lol do you have any idea how astronomically expensive it is to get a gun on the black market in a country with strict gun regulations? right now a homeless guy could pan handle for a couple

weeks and get $400 and go get a hand gun. pretty sure it was australia where it would take several thousands of dollars to get a gun. your average street thug/criminal probably won’t be getting one.

i do agree that tighter gun laws won’t be the end all be all though. we have a society that essentially glorifies violence with true crime shows and media outlets that blast perpetrators pictures all over at a much higher rate than the victims. we let fucks like james holmes, jeffery dalmher, ted bundy, timothy mcveigh, etc. go down in infamy as a villainized superheros in a sense. as long as we continue that pattern i would speculate that we continue to see copy cats and new variations of violence continue.

Violence is violence and it's much easier when guns are just a fact of life.

Violence was a fact of life before guns. Those native Americans whose land you think we stole used to commit acts of violence on eachother all the time.

maybe not the best example as mass genocide was brought upon there people with the use of guns when they had none. like the sand creek massacre etc. once guns were involved it wasn’t a fair fight at all and the violence from guns forever changed those people. like i couldn’t think of a worse example to bring up lol. are you fuckin inbred or something??

Lol man you’re not worth the time to educate. But just fyi most of the deaths attributed to “genocide” committed by Europeans were caused by disease. Not firearms.

disease from a different land was very impactfully to the population no doubt. you know what smallpox blankets are right?? lets say that was an accident and those infested blankets were given in good faith and the deaths happened out of shear mismanagement of disease control. what about the 1000+ battles during the american indian wars that were authorized by various government officials?? it was an attack on nearly defenseless humans by force with advanced weapons for the time known as, you fuckin guessed it, guns.

countless battles are literally documented as government orders. who the fuck “educated” you? your sister/cousin?? local church cult???

Oh no! Not the SmALl pOx BlAnKEtS! You’re an idiot with a brain dead moralistic and revisionist view of history. You came of age in the most peaceful period of human existence. Things used to be brutal. Natives used to scalp white women and children. Don’t think for one second that they didn’t do a bunch of killing themselves.

The equivalency argument doesn’t hold any water here, man. X and Y are not equal in their intent or potential affects. Two things can be bad relative to each other and as with anything there are degrees to the danger of any violence. The potential affects of political violence make it worse than general violence; which isn’t to say that any violence is acceptable.

While It’s true they’re not trying to take all

of everyone’s guns. They are trying to take a type of gun. That is an undeniable fact which they have not tried to hide. The completely mis used term of “assault weapons” which are currently not even available to the general public. Which will turn into semi automatic weapons, which is such a wide term it’s never going to happen.

the problem is one side says “they’re going to take your guns” another is saying we are gun supporters while actively trying to take away gun rights.

neither side wants to be transparent and completely uses fear tactics to scare masses because most people are completely ignorant about firearms

And the guns they're going after are totally irrelevant to the vast majority of gun violence. There are a few high profile shootings each year involving rifles, but vastly more murders and suicides using handguns. If they actually wanted to reduce gun deaths, they'd be going after glocks and hi-points, not ARs.

The government wants to get rid of semiautomatic rifles because they're the only effective weapon that civilians have for any potential conflict against the government.

Correct. Most mass shootings(actually going by the definition of what a mass shooting is) are done by hand guns. Not rifles of any kind.

Let alone the false description of a “assault weapon” which are already restricted in the US, and cannot be readily purchased by anyone.

You cannot walk into any gun store or online shop and buy an “assault weapon” which is a select fire weapon which has a safe, semi fire and automatic setting. Those are restricted by the atf and a purchaser must submit a form 4 to the atf to purchase one as well as short barreled weapons or suppressor.

Even when submitting a form 4 there is no guarantee you will be approved and unless approved you cannot take ownership of said weapon. so the scare tactic of the term “assault weapons” Is exactly that. A scare tactic. Big scary black rifle bad.

Self projecting definition:

The term is most commonly used to describe defensive projection—attributing one's own unacceptable urges to another. For example, if someone continuously bullies and ridicules a peer about his insecurities, the bully might be projecting his own struggle with self-esteem onto the other person.

policies aside, he is a polarizing individual. he understands entertainment and what draws attention by viewers so he intentionally uses his speech, rally, overall platform to pry on the emotions of those engaged in his rhetoric. since he came on the political scene, fox, cnn, etc have had record viewership. the benefits of diving the nation through emotional triggers is huge and he continues to drive that home and it creates radicals across the board. america is drowning in hate every political election season and it seems to get more polarized every year. its very much an us vs them mentality on all sides. fuckin sucks and is shameful really. some times i wish someone would shoot 1 bullet and take out tump and harris . . . and the 535 congress representatives oh and 9 supreme court justices. just a fresh start ya know? lol

(clearly a joke. bullets don’t work like that. calm the fuck down fbi agent looking for insurrectionists)
