Trouble with importing

i have an older version of final cut express and when i import it, the quality lessens alot and it sucks any work arounds besides imovie which i am currently doing

advice is greatly apreciated

if not try exporting it and see if it still looks bad

and yeah your preview settings might be set to a lower quality

i use premiere so i dont know where to chnage it but look for it if your still having a problem
