-Stl 177

-Chronic 172

so maybe is often better to short a bit from a ski that is good for his charactericstic, instead of changing it with something too soft?

As long as you're not doing rails every day, go with the TMs. You just might shit your pants the first time you ride them. They are that awesome. I just learned rails this past season, so I am looking to get new boards with the same kind of life as the TMs, and keep my TMs as rail only skis (i.e. beaters.) I would get the new TMs, but I want something a little wider and less ugly (plus, variety in your quiver is always nice as long as you're not sponsored.) I've been looking at the Ninthward Mik D Pros. Mike D-insertcrazyfrenchspelling-x helped design the TM, so his pro model should be similar in ride. They are a little fatter than the TMs, but pretty much the same. Whereas the TM has "Springtail" for life and pop, the Pro Model has a part bamboo core.

it does matter, because my 165 TMs feel like noodles and my brother's 175 TMs feel nice and snappy.

because I like poop.

That's what I have, the 175s. They have more life than any other ski I've ridden.

-Stl 177 good ski, on the softer side

-Chronic 172 good all around ski, the new chronic wides are better all mountain

-Invader 171 great deal, similar to fugatives, unless you are light they are too soft to take out of the park

-Pe 174 the new05-06 are stiffer and wider than the 04-05, making them a good all mountain ski

-Ar5 176 good park ski, not much width

-Scratch fs 174 the 04-05s are soft, the 03-04 are better

-TM 175 worst edges made, if you don't do rails they are nice.

For Rails: K2, Line, and 4Frnt all make beefy edges that will last longer. I heard that Armada is adding thick edges also on this years line of skis.

Baker Rules

i have the 177 chronics and they are sick they are stiff but really poppy for the park and hold up through everything around the mountain really nice. and lets face it people are oftern concerned with skis being to stiff but the only reason is really for butters but nobody can actually do them except tanner and a few others so stiffer skis are better for all mountain and they dont flex out on landings. i love my chronics and they are so hot

if your looking @ the TM try a scratch fs. i skied the red one a few years ago and loved it. similar flex to TM. well i thought it was so dont take me to shit. I'd get a AR5 personally for all mtn and a fujative or invader for park.
