Ok, all of that was embarrassing to read. Nobody can agree with anyone. A lot of you are being greedy for no reason. It has to be realistic. Ok, that would definitely be a good idea. But don't say stuff like, "I'm not gonna buy it." or "It's gonna be gay." If I were working for EA games anf reading this for ideas, I couldn't get an idea of what you guys really want. You just trail off into this arguement that doesn't reflect the game whatsoever. That's why it's embarrassing. The guys at EA are probably skeptical whether they should have put skiing in it in the first place now. PSM came out with a 5 page article about the game. I'm thinking of just getiing the thing to see if anything ir relevant to know. Unless someone else can que us in on some factual information.

Ok so if they worked with all these newschool companies than that is cool, good for them. But godammit at least make the skiers wear ski boots, not snowboard boots.

I live in a place far far away, where on occasion the telly tubbies will come to play....and that's when Ma gets out the shotgun. Damn critters climb in our gutter system all the time.
 
F-STOP has a point. I asked Tim Fields (EA) to check out the site here to gauge people's responses to the initial teaser. He said they are very concerned with people's impressions of the game and kept me up to date on which magazines and movies they were watching and reading to learn tricks. When they come on here, seeing "It's gay, I won't buy it." doesn't help much from a designers point of view, get it?? It has already been established that it is not Amped. Amped is made by different people. The SSX franchise is more of a fun arcade style game where you can throw some impossible tricks. I'm very excited for this game because they are giving us a try. By including skiing and snowboarding together in a major software release, it sends the message to all, especially the impressionable general public who think snowboarding and Taco Bell are extreme, that skiing is cool. What does this translate to?? Most likely many new faces trying out the sport and that is good for all.
