Trippy editing style

So this is something that has been gaining a ton of popularity lately and I would like to bring attention to. Tons of movies and edits have been layered over with trippy filters and low quality shots of who knows what on top of the actual clips. I personally enjoy this style in moderation Ex. Children of the Guan and some edits from the bunch, but lately it's just getting ridiculous. When I can't tell if the skier is switch or not because there's a damn tie dye color correction and 4 other clips of the shot cropped in over it, there's a problem. So please, keep the crazy hallucinogen shit to a minimum I want to watch a ski film, not a yung lean music video.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Longboarding is dumb but I was watching an edit once and there was no whole undisturbed slide in the entire edit. It was all edited to be choppy and went back and forward and slowed down and sped up and it was a horrible edit of a horrible sport.
