I definitely think someone will put one down in the next calendar year or so but I really don't think anyone will start consistently trying to do one in contest runs. Pipe skiing is crazy right now but I can think of a lot of really technical pipe runs that can and should win contests if stomped that don't need a triple. Unnat dubs in the pipe aren't quite a commonplace yet like they've become in slopestyle and big air contests. I think this coming season's winning contest runs will be characterized by both switch and unnat dubs - definitely atleast 3 dubs in a run, but no triples. The risk of fucking up your run on a triple far outweighs the benefit of actually doing one. Keep in mind, the superhit contest happens only once a year at WSI. All of the other pipe contests require a complete run, not just one banger trick.
