Tripple flips

same i was hitttin up the diving boards and i found doin really nice slow ones 3s and5s felt way better then hucking nines and stuff

there should be some sort of governing body of skiing that can tell us what we are not allowed to do and a song about bills becoming laws

I am all for it. There is a difference between aerials and just fuckin hucking a triple of a random jump (I have mad respect for aerialist guys to though)

Personally seeing a triple flatspin would get me way more stoked that a nice 5. There is only so much style you can put in a fucking 540. A pro skier should be able to do that in a double, and maybe one day a triple. Style isn't just how slow you spin.

If i see another kid in a fucking xxxl ski suit bitching about style (after seeing someone who is actualy out hucking real trick) and then goes and throws an ugly 360 random trendy grab I think i will have to go shoot myself

please elaborate, because by all the empirical data I have gathered, this seems like a value laden normative claim.

wow..too late to be up.. one last correction. Value-laden normative.

I will be able to think better in the morning. . . peace

a few season ago alot of members here were hating about doubles.. now they begin to look stylish and i personally dont wanna miss em in movies anymore. who are you to judge where the sport is going and whats good or not? let these people try what they want and let em have fun. even if some of the tripples ive seen dont look very stylish by now, i still like to watch those and have mad respect for the ones trying them. but these are just my 2 cents. have a good day!

flips in general are a joke. not that i don't like being a joke from time to time, stretching out a flip when all my friends are around. we do that kinda stuff for fun.

whaaat? i dont think anyone can deny that there are tons of steezy sw 10s now, and even henriks 12s or tjs 14s are pretty rad

I've never really liked the idea of tripple flips before but this thread is kinda making me wanna head to a water ramp and get working on tripple flat 12. It would need one ridiculously big floaty jump to be safe.

And to people saying it would be the ugliest thing ever... I guarantee that if somebody does it it's not gonna be flaily or anything. There may not be a grab but it won't be hideous.

If it were to be hideous the guy would never get it around.

Skiing needs to progress in all directions. Yes style is important and is definately essential but you can go to any park in world and see random kids throwing 540s just as stylie as any of the pros and thats cause it's just not that hard. There's a reason pros are pros and that's cause they can do tricks most people would shit themselves thinking about doing... and they can make it look just as stylish as any 540 or 180.

Not that we should stop doing sick 5s and switch 7s and stuff it's just that I dunno about you but I get bored watching a segment and all I see 5, switch 5, switch 7, 180, switch 7, 3, 5, switch 5, switch 3, switch 7. IMO you gotta do that stuff and do it nice but you've gotta be able to show that at the end of the day you can throw down harder than all these other kids.

I would be fucking off my seat hands in the air if I saw somebody do a triple flat spin or something. I don't even understand how you couldn't think it was amazing

Wow. I mean why all the hate for tripples. I mean comon, you need a fucking huge ass sack to even try a tripple and I have mad props for these guys. Watching slow stylie 5's only have so much excitment in them. There needs to be a perfect balance stricken in skiing between stylie tricks and these somewhat stylie tricks that are bad ass.

I think the skiing will eventually need to progress more than just making what people do now stylish. I like to see stylish stuff but after seeing the same stuff done over and over it's nice to see new stuff even if it's not smooth or stylish.

If you don't want newschool skiing to become like aerials start doing tripples flips switch/fakie. I don't think aerial people hit ramps switch. If I'm wrong please correct me.

yeah i saw that, he had some MAD air.

some dude on TGR's Anomaly did it also.

i can totally see people progressing to the level of off axis triples

So somebody who has the ability to do a triple flip, and has the desire to do a triple flip shouldn't do it because kids on NS think it's gay and that he should stick to style? Maybee that guy spends most of his time skiing focusing on style but he wants to acctually push himself and his ability by learning something new.

I acctually used to say fuck triples myself but I've realized how stupid that is now. Do what you want, skiing should be what you make of it not what everyone else makes it.

how are you peeps hating on triple flips? Who the hell cares if its stylish or not, respect the fact that someone actually sacked up and threw one. Eventually they'll become more integrated but whatever, i think they're nasty.

and do you suppose the first time someone did a 5 or 7 or 9 it was all steezed out? no. its all about progression

i wouldnt mind seeing ONE triple back or front in a segment but no triple flatspins and shit. also i dont want triples to be like kangaroos where u see them as every trick in comps

i disagree. you obviously havent seen dumonts 1440's in pipe cuz its way nastier than a 60 foot 180 although that does have mad steeze.
