Trippin Down Memory Lane

I was watching an old slvsh game the other day with Keegs up at Keystone and was looking at the conditions thinking "damn I'd kill for that right about now." Being from the southern end of the east coast we've had a pretty shit year so far, but the few trips north have been solid.

With that, toss down your best memorable day on skis. Where, conditions, who ya with, setup, etc.

Also, vote on the poll to help me and a homie settle a bet

My family has always skied NM as we have a Cabin in Angel Fire. Back in 07 we went up after Christmas like everyone does and it snowed like 56 inches in 2 days. Had to literally rent a bigger set of ski's for my dad and me as our personals couldn't handle the snow. It was fucking tight cause unless you had chains or snowmobile you couldn't make it to the mountain so we had quite a bit of untracked for 3-4 days.

That sounds Ill. We haven’t had over 5 inches of snow in one storm yet this season

Called out sick of work a two seasons ago to ride a 15 inch day at Cannon with three other friends who rip.

It was a random weekday and the already uncrowded mountain was legitimately empty, to the point where it was a bit eerie. Skied the front 5 for a few hours before we ran into a random (off-duty) patroller on a lift. He took a few laps with us and then decided to show us around some of his favorite spots. Being on the East Coast, and newer to skiing, it was my first time skiing "real" pow and he helped critique my form (I've never taken any sort of lesson). My friend then made a comment about a "safety meeting" and he sat with us while we sparked up. We sat in the woods for prolly an hour just listening to his stories and chilling. Legit one of the best days of my life and shoutout to Doug!

This is exactly why I made this thread. I feel like so many people in the community have a memory like that, at least I do this was a dope read

I remember being a little grom at PC in the 07/08 season. I’d get my brother to take me up both days on the weekend, and often we’d meet his hoodlum friends (mid 2000s)

skate punks). It was a pretty lit season overall with all the crazy people I’d meet coupled with the insane snowfall that year.
