Tripod Suggestions..

I need a tripod for my Sony Camcorder. Any suggestions on what tripod to buy? I will be filming a lot at the mountain, so it needs to withstand the weather.

sony makes some sweet ass tripods. thats what we used in my video production class. they are light and durable. i don't how much they are though.

Ok cool. Also, what height should I get? Towards 60' or around 50'?

I just got an Ambico that is pretty nice. Quite light weight. 61 inches tall at most

Try to get one with a quick release head, so you can just screw the thing on your camera and leave it there, and take it off whenever you want. Maybe they all have them now, mine doesn't but it's like 20 years old.
