Tripod Legs for Manfrotto 701HDV head for skiing

I am looking to get tripod legs that are compatible with the 701 fluid head that are light enough to ski with. I have a heavy tripod right now that is too long and heavy to ski with. Can someone recommend me some models of Manfrotto legs that work for what i want to do?
 
Yeah I have them, they're decent enough for me up until at least 300mm. They're pretty damn heavy though, think its about 3kg. If you have the money and you're gonna be skiing with them all day I'd seriously consider the carbon fibre ones.
 
I don't know if that was a good decision, what was the weight of your current setup? it might not be a large difference.
 
my other tripod and fluid head weigh a total of 10 pounds and the tripod, when collapsed, was too long to ski with and wouldn't fit on my Fstop Loka. If it doesnt work out i can always send it back
 
Ah ok that's good, It'll probably be a lot lighter then, yeah you could I suppose, but shipping costs for heavy shit is expensive, make sure you know if it's too heavy before the return window closes
