OK so lots of people idolize celebraties, so what? Every country does this. What about Japan? They treat snoboarders like GODs. What about in Norway, my SCS MX friends had a demo there and said almost 60,000 people came, thats how into it they are. Everyone like to have people like that, its not a bad thing. Get over stamping the US in to the ground. And what kinda dumb thing is it to say the your president is not your decider by the way? Freaking retarded. He gets voted in to make decisions, that is his JOB.

haha yeah thats true....but the thing is, all the people who didnt vote him in, and all the other people who get affected by him but who arent americans so had no say in the matter....of course we complain, hes doing a terrible job. So all this "triple fuck anit-american" shit is dumb, sure a lot of people dont express themselves that well, but thats probably because they get mad watching several generation of dumb fucks sell out their dream

i have to say that I LOVE AMERICA. as sad as 911 was, i loved the months that follewed because people were kinder to each other and proud of this country. how easily we forget. ya you may find issues, but this is a great country.

That was the entry for "decide" I think..its unimportant though. Another beef I have with your country is inventing all sorts of words, theyree in the dictionary, but nobody else in the english speaking world uses them. whatever.

Its a reply to 2 different threads in Non ski gabber right now, and I put them both into one thread to conserve space. Back woods only argument here seems to be that trauers spelling is off. Back woods needs to realize that not everyone can have everything perfect, and that its all evens out in the end, see you may not have voted bush in, but you should still see that as your country's choice, because its very likely you ay vote the next president in while many other disagree. You did haev a say. and that actually does get address through out the governement in other ways.

i live in canada so i did not vote.....and i just want more clarification on the overall argument.
 
b/c he is playing off of the name of another thread on here as well as the content of a few different threads that are up right now. i agree with it. the contitution was made to protect us and our rights - alot of antiamericans missuse and abuse those rights to bash the very country that has made them free. what a shame.
 
bush isn't MY decider until any of his decisions directly affect me. i don't really care for politics
 
the electoral college does not represent the general population. i read that skull and bones, the yale secret society and many other similar societies funnel their members in positions of power, and they've been doing it a long time. that doesn't really have anything to do with this thread, but its something to think about.
 
I love this country. George has made good decisions and bad ones. Though he is working with the intention of creating a better America. As have the majority of the former presidents. We as Americans have full rite to disagree with the presidents actions. Though the office should be held to a certain level of respect.

For all against the war, it is sad to be in a state of war, especially if you do not agree with the circumstances, though they are our troops over there fighting. Let their cause, whatever it may be (peace or searching for more of the total 11% of oil they produce for Americans) not be in vain.

September 11th was a horrible day in American history. Though with every bad, good can rise out of it. As American patriotism was given a rebirth. In foreign nations they have suicide bombers walk onto buses and kill needlessly, though the next day the damage is cleaned up and life goes on. We, luckily as Americans, do not have to deal with such attacks though when one took place we rose above it and took action.

This is a great land of opportunity and freedom. A land our forefathers died for. If you are against it... get the fuck out, we don't need you.
 
Holy retardedness. Please search the internet for who is actually in the electoral college, and by that I mean the body of government that we call the electoral college.
 
A couple more thigs as well:

1. There are many derivations of words we use every day and we don't realize they exist. But they do, because we don't hear them doesn't mean they're not real. Futher educate yourself on the english language before preaching your fallacious beliefs.

2. I would wager that more then half of the people in this forum have not actually made a conclusive view of their own on President Bush. I would guarantee that most of you have based your views off of a liberal college professor, parent, teacher, or a television news station. This is ridiculous. Put some effort into your opinions and make them sound, rather then just flippantly throwing out your poorly formulated ideas. President Bush has made mistakes in his Presidency, I'm not going to tell you he hasn't. Instead of creating more problems though, maybe you should consider supporting America as a whole, and if you don't want that then maybe you shouldn't be here. You have the right to fight for what you believe in, but make sure you understand your views and how they effect others and not just you. I'm not going to lie and say I don't agree with most of President Bush's presidency, because I do; and most of the time I'm proud to call him my President because he knows what he wants and he knows his place and he is a man. He is not John Kerry, he is not a willowing piece of flesh that has no strength. I respect that more then anything else in a person. Most of the hippies in this forum and here at UVM think they are doing the school and government justice by voicing their opinions and fighting the establishment because they could do better. They think their educated on the politics and the government, but im most cases their education has farther skewed their already biased views. People really need to sit down and look at the facts and how the facts are affecting peoples lives, and how they're not. Pick your battles, and fighting the President for these things is not the correct battle to fight. Tell me liberals, hippies, etc....would you rather have Dick Cheney in office, because if you got your way and removed Bush (who was voted into office by more then half the population mind you) then you would have Cheney who is next in succession. I have no desire to look up the Speaker of the House or the Pres Pro temp of the Senate ( i believe its Hastert and Stevens but I dont know) but I believe they too are rather more conservative then Bush. So the base of this is, way your options and look at your possibilities and realize this is not a fight or battle you should undertake. So instead support your country, support your President, and Support your People. If not, please just leave this country and go someplace where you can prance around in circles with a hackysack all day. Triple fuck anti-americans for---especially for criticizing our government, which is the most successful in history, most copied, and many other things, regardless of the young age.
 
Follow celebrities that actually do something special is cool. I enjoy watching the ASP surfing world tour. I like watching the xgames or the US OPEN. The thread "Triple Fuck Americans" was ridiculing Americans for following retarded celebrities and socialities who serve no fucking purpouse to society. Following Shaun White or Deegan is alot different then making sure you know every move Britney Spears or Tara Reid makes.
 
The media puts this shit out there because they know it will make a profit. Reality TV is a fickle thing. If it comes down to following an athlete or something, it's cool. But when it's following an athlete/actor's everyday life, some people say it's a waste. It's like GOSSIP. Lots of people love it/follow it, and that's basically what Taradise and Simple life is about. The socialites. Yes, you may call it dumb, but to many it's entertainment. I wouldn't say Americans "worship" these people, but like to follow them, keep up with the times, and see people do dumb shit. It gives the pubilc something to talk about. Moreover, IT MAKES MONEY. Money makes the world go round.

basically im saying, a sporting event is alot different then lindsay lohan drunk in public. GotamaBCshredder was stating that japenese people love snowboarding and norwegians love freestyle MX. I see no problem with idolizing athletes for what they do and having an interest in their lives. For alot of people they are inpirational. I know I want to be able to ski like Seth, so when there is an article on him I want to read it. I think it is stupid that so many people are infatuated with the fact that Kevin Federline just bought pot form his security gaurd and that Britney is gonna leave him. Thats just an example but there is lots of entertainment tonight shows that just broadcast this shit like no other. Not to mention the millions of weekley and bi-monthly tabloid magazines which live for this shit too. People love it and its stupid. I am not just criticizing Americans either. They are the worst but Canadians, Mexicans, Europeans, you name it are pretty fucken bad too.
 
america is democratic, therefore people should be able to think for themselves and make up thier own mind. People who have opinions about how our country could be improved shouldnt be denounced. These people are the ones who are exercising the freedoms our country provides, free speech. So these are the people who are being the most patriotic. incessant america ass kissing by people isnt what america is about, its about saying what you think. If we cant find fault with our country it will never improve, and it sure as hell isnt perfect.
