Triple Cork

bobby brown landed the first one... i know a bunch of people have tried like alex schlopy triple cork 1920 or some crazy shit like that

i dont really see a triple CORK watching bobby's! at least 1 of those 3 "corks" i obviously a flip! klaus finne prolly tried the first real looking triple cork, but couldn't land it!

you could offer this identical criticism to the vast majority of dub ten mutes you see, too. Ditto that for "dub flats" and/or "dub rodeos". How often is a dub cork 10 more like cork 7 to either flat 3, lincoln, or a barely off axis back?

Bobby's trip 14 was cork 7 to "flat 3" to "flat 3". You could probably argue it was cork 5 to sw rod 5 to flat 3, but that's just being overly picky.

The bottom line is that, like pretty much any and all inverted, or nearly inverted off axis tricks, there's subtle (and not so subtle) variances in how people throw them and how they look. To say that Bobby didn't do a true trip cork is I think a slight to him.

IMO, Henshaw's attempt at the trip 16 in Aleyaksa was the closest thing we've seen to an honest to god triple cork, but that's being too nitpicky.

I see what you mean, but for now it can be considered a triple cork because it had at least 1 cork. I think Bobby himself even said it wasn't a "true" triple cork.

Agreed. Bobby's triple is sick, maybe not a triple cork, but sick nonetheless. Personally, I think that Ambuhl is the only one with a triple cork.

Bobby did the first triples, two trip flats in Alaska were about a month before Sammy's at Hood. We saw Sammy's first though because msp saved bobbys footage for The Way I See It

Fridtjof Fredricsson is the only one who has ever done a real triple-cork. All the other ones are flips/d-spins.

Trippels happend in this order:

- Bobby Brown landed the first trippel flatspin (first a 1080 and right after a 1260)- Sammy Carlson landed the first switch trippel rodeo (a 1260)

- Bobby Brown landed the first trippel cork (a 1440)

- Russ Henshaw landed the first trippel in a contest (trippel cork 1440)

Other than this it is some others who has landed a tripple: Friddtjof Fredriksson, Elias Ambuhl and some more that I just can't remember now

Turpin's was a triple flat. I think the original comment was that the first triple cork attempt was Russ, which is correct

No, Schlopy's was most definitely a triple cork 1980, it was insane. He didn't really come close to landing it though, but it was still sick. Link to this anyone? It was from JOI 2011.

sorry for the triple post, but at 2:58 is schlopy's triple^^

and ambuhl's triple cork (3:48^^) looked pretty legit to me, didn't have that flattish type spin that henshaw and brown's last two flips did.

I love this video, nothing like a bathtub of champagne to celebrate!

Not to mention that Elias' triple is solid badass.
