Trip to Sugarloaf/East Coast for Arsenic Jam

Yo what up Newschoolers fam, I am thinking of doing a long-weekend trip to the east coast to get to the downrails and double kinks railjam at Sugarbush.

I live up in Duluth, MN, I would take an exam at 10am, drive down to the cities at 11am, get on my plane that leaves at 3:15 to Boston, rent a car, and then drive to Vermont and either sleep in the car or stay at a homie's place.

Anyone going to be pulling up for the jam? It's my 24th birthday on March 16th (day of the jam) and I thought it would be a fun trip as a lil present to myself i guess. I have the ikon pass as well so that helps.

But yeah, I am thinking ride bush sat, sun, then maybe Killington on Monday? I gotta get the rental car back to Boston by 7pm then I would fly back to MN in the early morning.

My flight is free since I racked up some miles, the rental car is around $250, probably $50-100 in gas... what y'all think, is this too much? Anyone trying to link up or maybe let me crash? I'd be staying with family in Burlington Sunday night but Fri and Sat aren't totally locked in.

That sounds like an epic birthday ski trip! It sounds totally doable since the most expensive parts are covered already.

I’m thinking of driving up from PA, thinking of just camping in the overflow parking at bush… can anyone confirm if bush is chill with this? Could get a NS car camping meetup going

This is awesome.

Every year I do a special prize for whoever travelled the furthest for the event. Most years 5-6 hours drive wins. Current record is 8hours from Toronto.

I think you’d have the W this year.

stoked to see ya!

Im a park guy but would love to see the goods at bush for a few runs

There's a hostel in the valley (hostel tevere) that's decent like 60 a night or something. Car camping is ok up the road at mad river maybe 5min drive on the top deck lot and skyship at Killington. There's a bunkroom at Killington called turn of river for 65 a night that's also pretty fun. Both places are basic muffins and toast breakfast with microwave and showers comfortable bed. Killington one has racks to dry stuff out as well. Says 2 night min but just give them a call women that runs it is chill. Both have availability but often fill up if weather is nice. I'd hit both spots while your here and each is quite fun.
