So im tryna camp there in July. Need some info I couldn't find on the campground site or any other threads.

1. How much does it cost to camp for 1 spot for a week?

2. What's the probability that it will be full or I won't get a spot?

And is Timberline gonna have a park this summer for sure?

Thanks. I looked on their site but couldn't find anything about prices??

Not really an experienced camper nor have I been to hood in the summer, so thanks for the help.

Camp at the airstrip.

See map:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Government+Camp,+OR+97049&daddr=Unknown+road&hl=en&geocode=FcdIswIdUCu--CmBYcutpBi-VDEDAfuxv4MJ2w%3BFdTvsgIdjHe--A&mra=mift&mrsp=1&sz=17&sll=45.281017,-121.732668&sspn=0.006515,0.016512&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=17

Benefits:

Very close to Trillium Lake so you can swim/bathe with ease.

FREE (trillium lake costs $17+ per night)

LEGAL

Other shredders will be there.

Pretty much guaranteed space. Trillium has online booking and July is THE month so spots are filling up fast.

Thanks dude. What's the deal with the airstrip? Is it like a legit campground or just a airstrip that people camp at?

former airstrip that is being reclaimed by the forest.

It is just a place that has easy access, is free, has essentially established campsites (no tables, just wide spots with usually a rock fire ring) around the former airstrip that people camp at.

Alright cool. Does anyone know what the price of a lift ticket is in the summer? Or if they have like a week long pass or anything?

YO is the airstrip closer to timbeline than government camp? im going this july as well and will be hitch hiking to the mtn so i was wondering which is closer?

oh man i've been looking for this thread for a month. ns comin through with the secret spots once again. hell yeah

Lol I was wondering who bumped my thread from last summer, I ended up camping at the airstrip last summer and it was tits. Gonna be down there again in july hopefully.
