Everyone has been inside for 8 weeks here and some things are starting to reopen, and we are allowed to move around.

A resort pretty far away just announced they opened, they even had 8cm of snow this week, long story short, weather forecast was awesome, drove 8.5 hours, fairly long trip in my EV!, even put on winter tires on my car again, finally arrive 01:20, lots of snow in mountains as we approached

Overnight we had another 8cm of snow... awesome, total 3.5+meters of snow, but... instead of awesomesauce at 08:00 we have suddenly got monsoon style rain and fog..... so here we are, far away from home, allready payed for the appartment until sunday.. kinda bummed out, its more like water skiiing than skiing at this point.

dude you're skiing in early May, were you expecting dry fluffy pow? spring skiing is wet and wild and that's the way it should be, embrace it!

Well it’s late April so get the bikes out, fishing poles and floppy hats. Summers here.

I'd be grateful to go skiing under any circumstances right now no matter the conditions

i think if most skiers on this site had the choice to either ski in the rain, or to not be able to ski at all, i think they would choose the first option.

ready for day 2, not sure why but they closed park today

Hooooly fuck with everything that’s going on your gonna complain when you are getting to ski?!?!?!

You’ve brought an all new high to the,” guy who complains about conditions the whole lift ride “, stereotype, what an entitled cunt

Kindergarden and schools level 1-6 are open here, all stores are open, heck, even indoor gyms(wtf) and cinemas are allowed to be open from next week . We are allowed to travel internally, as numbers of people in hospitals or needing attention and new cases of infections are down to under the number gov wanted.

Of course beeing smart about it is a thing, keeping your distance and trying for the least ammount of interaction, A lot of resorts here are open, and the summer resorts has gotten their plans for not spreading disease approved and have started to open

For a lot of places getting to open for last 2-3 weeks of their season is what will save a lot of things for next season, this goes for the actual resorts, hospitality, stores etc, also lets them transition to summer mode.

Trying to keep the gears in motion, while not spreading disease and beeing smart about it is key to keep the world going. This means both your dayjob, and how you spend your $$ and time off, will help other people and their jobs and source of income.

I feel your pain, I wasn’t allowed to build one for the longest time but then once I got my license I said fuck it and came home with 200 bucks worth of wood and other supplies, they weren’t going to stop me then.

Stakkars gutten drar hele veien til norges flattlys hovedstad bare for og finne ut at det er flatt lys der?

It’s not cause my parents are dicks it literally cause there’s no place to put it that won’t be super visible. The only spot that’s open is my front yard and I don’t think anybody wants a 7 foot structure in the middle of an upper middle class neighborhood. I should have rephrased it, yes my parents won’t let me build one but there’s also no place to put one?‍♂️

Bam Margera would beg to differ...

A halfpipe or ski park is not what I want in my yard during the summer, but ya if my son wanted a ski park, wed build a fucking ski park. Life matters, time together, having fun, these things are worth living, maybe a halfpipe doesn't strike the neighborhood as art, but it gets a kid out of the house, exercising and living life, creating a memory and probably spreading that same attitude to their kids one day, that's more beautiful than any ornamental tree or other bullshit someone would litter their yard with.
