wats it called wen u spin on a box or picnic tables without ur skis leaving the surface of the box/table? at first i thought it was called buttering but i think i was wrong
 
butter is like having your center of mass above your tails so it brings your tips up.

what you are talking about is just called spinning on a box.
 
man, people need to watch snowboarding more. thats where BUTTERING came into existence. it is basically a manual, but on a snowboard.

I have not heard the term disco spin, but i sorta like it, so i vote spinning on a box should be called that!

"disco dancing" was what spinning on the box was reffered to last year by some fucktard announcer. its stupid. buttering is a revert done on tips or tails on snow. spinning on a box has been called many things and maby a name should be thought up for it but disco dancing was fucking lame.
 
He is definitly right. Not to mention that spinning on a box is pretty gay, but if you want to make fun of someone for doing it then its ACTUALLY called a 'PEANUT"
 
Know your shit asshole. A butter is not a revert. Buttering can be done on the ground, but when its on a box, its when you spin around without your skis leaving the box. A switch up is when you hop and spin on the box.
