I am sorry I couldnt't try this off of a better jump for you. If you would like to help me fund a trip out west so I can find a better jump just let me know! But thank you to those who made posts that will be helpful to me!
Jesus. What they were trying to say was that the jump you tried on was bad shaped / not big enough. Therefore, when you have the chance, try sw 540 on a bigger jump with a steeper landing, you just need tome more air time.
This has actually been an ongoing issue at my hill. We had an amazing park but then the owner decided to move the park to the flattest/most useless part of the hill and that was the biggest jump we had all season for maybe the last 3 weeks.. which is pretty sad. There was one jump at another hill nearby that was a lot bigger but too big and not enough pop for trying my first switch flip. The other jumps at that hill were pretty sketch this season too so learning anything on jumps this year was limited. Can't wait to get out of Wisconsin.
Hey im in Wisco too! I ski Granite Peak. I also couldn't wait until college and leaving here. Then i began skiing and realized theres actually something to do in the winter
wouldnt you want more flip for a sw rodeo? i was under the impression sw rodeos were similar to forward mistys. just body is traveling the opposite direction into the jump.
it looks like youre setting for a sw CORK 540, not rodeo. i think with the rodeo you need to flip more. also it looks like youre doing everything with your upper body and your legs are just along for the ride. try to pop more and engage your stomach and legs into the rotation.
I used to only ski Cascade but last season I worked at Devil's Head and had a pass at Tyrol. I've been to Granite twice, got to try out the airbag there which was pretty sweet!
