I'm not sure why Peak has any cred, it looks like Costco kit...I'm sure it's fine for 90% of people but I don't see the reason for the massive price premium.

I own Flylow and it is good, a lot if people recommend Trew as well so I'd bet they're putting out good quality gear.

I like my trew pants, good fit and pretty durable. I did manage to rip them on a particularly sharp rail, but I also tore through my shorts, underwear, and buttcheek a lil bit so I cant really blame the pants. I’d definitely buy another pair but I think they only do bibs now which I dont love.

Both are good, is there a specific kind of skiing you do the most? I like flow for resorts but had a tree jacket i toured in and was obsessed with

From bibs perspective - i had both Trew Trewth bibs and Flylow baker bibs. Trew with derzimax is definitely more waterproof, lightweight and tech-y, while Flylow bibs are more robust. If you are skiing park only, I'd go with Flylow - they will serve longer. However, what I really hated about Flylow fabrics is that they are not good at water-proofing and snowflakes during powder days are sticking to the material, making the soak even worse.

I'm super interested to hear more opinions on this as I've strongly considered either Trew or Flylow for my next kit. Kind of a bummer to hear that the baker bibs have water repellent issues, has anyone else shared this issue?

I just finished season 2 in the Baker bib and haven't had any issues, they've been super waterproof and I'm in the PNW. How do you care for them? Have you re-applied dwr or anything?

yeah not sure what you're talking about in terms of waterproofing issues on the bakers.

Flylow going on season 3. Sometimes they appear to hold moisture but it never gets in.

well, idk, maybe they impoved dwr, because my bakers are like 5 yrs old model, but I tried ironing them to restore DWR, I tried Grangers, I tried Nikwax - nothing helps them. Well, maybe I overreacted by saying "soaking" but after half of a powder day my baselayer is all damp. I just started using them only on park days and 3+ days after snowfall

This is what Flylow recommends, not sure if you followed this?

Own a lot of both brands' stuff and can't really go wrong. I've got Capow bibs and jacket and love em both.
