first i dont wear saga wich they are more than 5k second i got 20k so dont worry about me getting wet. i could go swimming in my coat and be dry. sound like your stereo typing
 
looks cool, whats the breatheabilty/waterproofing? i cant find it on their site.
also pricey as hell but its probs pretty quality
 
those bibs look sick, but they have a sipper down the whole side which makes them fit weird, my last pair of pants had that.
 
Yeah guys, I hear you on the price point. Thought I might post a response. Basically the approach was to get our hands on the best materials (3 layer PU membrane) and employ the best construction techniques (seam taping and thermal bonding). That plus we make all of the stuff by hand in North America definitely sets us up on price. Its a firm goal of ours to try offer lower price options as we grow, but this first year we wanted to focus on offering super high quality and STEEZY outerwear that we felt the industry was missing. Great to hear some people are diggin it though...

Mexico is part of north america...are they made in mexico or did you mean the USA...

or canada i guess counts too, haha.
 
I saw it on the SIA page and thought it looked really dope. Can't wait to see some on people, definitely can't afford it yet though. Maybe this will be a new saga? Pricy but damn good quality and dope looking. I look forward to seeing how this goes.
 
i dig that philosophy. props for trying to make it in the industry the hardest way i can think of. so many companies just try to make the steeziest shit out of their grandma's windsuit material its pretty gay. I like the shit and im pretty sure that if you shell out the bucks this gear will pay it back in durability. a lot of kids dont care about that tho, they just buy the shittiest/newest outerwear and destroy it in a year so they can get next years shit. its a vicious cycle and you guys are def trying to do something about it. you should keep the top end line for sure but maybe you should expand the line with some gear that isnt as good of quality but still really nice and cheaper. Oh and STACK your pro team, i hear thats the ticket these days loljk
 
i'm loving the gear, would buy it in a second if the prices compared to other companies. website is cool too, looks like they are marketing to the core riders... too bad those people tend to be broke. i wish you guys the best of luck, let me know if there's a sale or something.
 
the founder went to my school and isnt really a skier, just some kid who wants to make some money with his dads trust fund money. kinda sad cause it is kinda dope

for 879 dollars you can

buy trew coat and bib pants

buy the most bomb arcteryx goretex xcr top n bottom

buy burton idiom coat and pants and still have some cash to spend on goggles

buy a saga suit right now and have 579 dollars to spend on a few pairs of skis

who cares if its made in north america, because honduras is just as bad for the american economy than china. what are the specs? can we pay in rupies?

 
i got a pair of prototypes, from them today for 100 bucks, they fit super sick and look awsome, our highschool ski team is getting our uniform from them, its gunna be sick!
 
definately agree with that, keep the high end line but add some cheaper stuff too. fits a little off too, kinda stiff in some places like the zipper and cargo pockets on the bibs. could also use a little length in the jackets, this i think would help keep them from feeling too stiff. other than that the company is sick. customer service is awesome, i had a problem with a zipper and they immediately got back to me how to fix it and offered to replace it if i couldnt fix it. cant wait to see what they come out with in the future
 
Yeah. I'd never fit in it comfortably. 33" inseam on an XL? No thanks I don't touch it if it's shorter then 34"
 
That sounds like a solid plan. I will definitely be looking you guys up for new pants (ninja black is sick) and maybe a few t's.

I had a question though, (really to anyone who knows this gear) how baggy are the pants? I'm not really in to the whole gangsta skier scene.
 
sounds sick, wish i could help you guys out by buyin somethin but im flat broke after spending money on other ish. Still, this seems like a super legit company people should buy up

1 year later, with hand on the TREW gear. i can say it makes arcteryx or xcrgear look like a joke. The quality of the final product that is MADE IN VANCOUVER, with some usa fabrics and has the ability to actually store things in your 3L jacket and feel like a baller at the same time. Its not expensive, it probably costs less than most of the gear in its catagory.

 
Saga's waterproofing has been legit for me. I've had many deep days of wet California snow, and I've stayed dry.
