Tremblant's 2003-2004 Park

This year Tremblant will have two parks. Sad thing is the pipe will be on the North Side up top still. I wish it was in the South Side park , then maybe it'd thaw sometiems and we'd get some sweet no-ice sessions. It'd be nice to have the park open South Side, but i am worried about lines. Anyone hear about Tremblant having a Park Pass liek Whistler?

if theres no park pass (which is most likely) its definately best to keep the pipe and the best features on lowell thomas. lowell thomas hardly ever lines up and makes sessioning the park for a few hours fun- rather than freezing your balls off standing in line. unfortunately this happens regardless some days just cause the north side is so god damn cold. the best part of having the park there is that the snow they build up there lasts well into april, which isn't possible in many other places. the south side park will be nice for those freeze your balls off days as well as after close hiking.

Justin

man, everyday in tremblant is freeze your balls off day, but youre right lowell thomas chair doesnt build up, and the long ride up is good for burning spliffs

park pass will suck for us out-of towners... but I understand where you guys are coming from....

They should have a 'Canadian terrain park pass' that you can get and is good at any ski hill. Instead of having to get one at every hill you go to.

....at least a 'Intrawest park pass' would be a nice start...

yeh there's no park pass.....plus two parks will spread the park goers out and keep the park tourists away as the south park is the first thing they'll see.

Just a thought

'Hey check this out'

'I heard that Richard Gere gerbils. That is, he inserts gerbils into a paper towel tube, which he then sticks up his butthole. I don't doubt this, because he asked me if i wanted to come over to his house and gerbil. I insisted that he come over to MY house, since the whole thing seemed weird. As a practical joke, i attached a bucket of water to the top of the door so that when he opened it, I beat him with a mannequin leg.'-Skydaddy

For sure i agree that thomas is the best place for the parl, but a park pass would be best. And yes yes that chair is the best for burning spliffs, well...... hot boxing the gondola is pretty fuckin fun too.

If you live in Ottawa and have a postal code starting with a K or some other letter check out the Emax (a link on the tremblant ticket site), it can save you some cash but is non refundable so only get it if you're for sure going..(oh and you need a credit card to book it online)

skibum - Yeah im going to tremblant for the 5 to 7, i hope they have some actual jumps up by then

Proudly bringing terrain parks to Toronto.

they supposedly have a few features up already and I'm pretty sure that they'll have a bunch more up by Sat morning.

They had a bunch up last weekend. They have had 28 inches of snow i nthe last 7 days. The yexpect 25 rusn for this weekend (5-7) and they had a rainbow box, 30 foot downrail, one jump, c-box, 20 foot rail, and a 8 foot rail

The Tremblant site says that they have currently only 28 runs open, does anyone have and idea when 'edge' and 'soleil'? Is there decent coverage?

Hopefully they don't get the freezing rain they're calling for.

don't think this was taken today...

it's supposed to say: anyone have an idea when they will open 'edge' or 'soleil'? Is there decent coverage on the closed runs?

i realize this forum hasnt been update in a while so i though i would. the edge is fully open, soeil has 7 of 15, south 29 of 39 and north 30 of 33. how is the park and what do the have in it

the park on the south side hasnt opened yet, but the park on the north side is awesome...tons and tons of stuff to jib on, and a bunch of jumps. even the huge wallride is up.

should be open real soon i think, cuz i was skiing down the run it was supposed to be on, and all the rails were out and a cat was at work. makes me think it'll be ready soon...

i was at tremblant on the weekend, and i was not impressed with the park. everything was poorly placed, tickets were too expensive, alot of the rails and boxes didnt slide very well. and the table tops werent any better than fortunes last year. l9ong story short what a fucking waste of 66 bucks.

funny, i dont remember fortune having table tops last year...and please dont compare tremblant's park with fortune's...

if they are gonna make it suck then i will compare it to my fucking back yard if i want to. the fact of the matter is, is that i got more tricks in at fortune in a day (when the park is set up) then i did at tremblant and thats just sad.

Druid, you have no idea what you're talking about, there was one feature badly set. The trapazoid box was basically inaccescibble. And the rollercoaster box was to slow, but the rest rocked, the tables were amazing, and fortune last year ahd shit, i went mid january to fortuen lkast year and they had homemade jumps up, what does fortune have right now? nothing, right. Tremblant has done and is doing amazign things wit htheir park. Iwas very impressed with their groomers too. Even after a night of freezing rain, the park grooming was almost perfect. best run to ski on the hill. Wait until they get the 15 or so jibs they are storign right now out, it's gonna be siiiick. You cannot complain or compare tremblant to any other hill around here. 66 bucks man, you have no idea how to buy tickets. My friend, since he doesn't have a seasons pass, buys tickets, but gets one for mthe guys scalping corporate tickets. They are 40 bucks. Try one of them next time you're up.

Justin the Hick

Where do you find the dudes scalping tix?

* I had just launched myself 50feet in the air Off a boother when both my skiis pop off. So I think to myself What would Jared do?*

their usually in line and man tremblants park is sick and was sick.. however i did enjoy it better when they had the 30ft down rail in there but meh. Its a whole lot better than fortunes trust me.

ya, the 30 foot dow nrail was pretty sick, they need the big rainbow they had last year up

Justin the Hick

the 60 foot rainbow they had next to the lift for part of last year until it got busted, they built a new one though. I'm not good with feet measurement, i'd say it was 50-100 feet long

Justin the Hick

ya right 60 feet that will be ill. i cant wait to hit that.
