Travis Rice wins Redbull Supernatural

yea because Travis rice isn't one of the best back country snowboarders on the planet. Its obvious that because he sucks so bad that the whole competition was setup so he could win.
 
Yeah no shit, but T. Rice rules and I'm sure it'll be more of a comp next year now that others have seen/ridden the course. Want one of these for skiers either way.

Did White compete? (Serious question) I remember reading a thread saying T Rice invited him. I could see White not going to this knowing he would get smoked, or rolling his ankle beforehand or something...
 
Did not go.

They didn't offer him enough money to compete. The prize purse was not enough for him.

Just another thing to think about. I mean will next years contest be on the same slope, or will they create a whole new one? Do we need to be creating permanent pillow lines and drops when there are plenty of locations that naturally have these?

Personally I think it is a cool idea, but I much prefer an event like linecatcher where the features are made out of snow.

that argument is so invalid it's not even funny. 70 trees is nothing. the run they built the course on ends in a clear cut, which is right beside two other clear cuts. The amount of trees being cut down in the west kootenays for logging makes the 70 they cut insignificant. Besides, how many trees do we cut down when gladding a run anyways?

Mountain biking has been building courses out of wood for how long without people making a big stink out of it...

bottom line - don't feed the hippies.
 
I swear I have been meaning to I've watched the trailer more than 10 times i just haven't had the chance and don't have the money to buy a copy.
 
just saw this on FB, whats the deal? I thought NBC had exclusive rights? super sick either way.
 
Awesome that Mark and Sage competed even though that's obviously not their thing, props to them. Hopefully they branch out more because of stuff like this
 
I had a feeling that video might get taken down, but damn - that was fast. Glad I saw it though!
