So my homies and I want to take a trip back to spain this summer... We went last year as part of an exchange program and made alot of really good friends while we were there and Barcelona is one of the coolest cities in the world. So i was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting cheap airfare into europe. I live in Oregon so i know it wont be super cheap but im trying to get round trip for a grand or less if I can. Anywhere in europe except for the UK would work cause im planning on getting a Europass so i can hit up amsterdam. I know if i book shit now it will be less expensive so does anyone have any good info that could help me out?

i can tell you a couple things that i heard about europe....

major cities are really really expensive to stay in. amsterdam, london, and zurich are all rediculously expensive, so don't plan on spending too much time there if you don't have a lot of money.

from what i hear, you'll have a great time no matter what happens. i wish i was going to europe.

yeah i got places to stay though when i go to barcelona...i would probably just stay in a hostel in amsterdam for 2 nights then get the hell out.. But yeah its just such a bitch trying everything i can to get some good cheap tickets

im booking a trip to scandinavia (denmark, norway, finland, sweden), and the cheapest tickets i can find are between 1100 and 1250. realllly expensive. just look for web specials and stuff. thats wat im trying ot do...

well if you have to, look into the prospect of flying into london, then flying on something like easyjet or ryanair for cheap. That is if it saves money. Fly on weekdays. Best thing though is just constantly check prices on everything. The price you see today, might not be the same price tomorrow. I snagged a ticket last year for $700r/t from seattle to london, and within 40 hours it was $150 more

Yeah i feel like im wasting time but its just hard to set dates so soon... i hate how expensive it is. I gotta go back though... i cant wait till winter break when its cold again... could go skiing though..

fly into london then take the train around europe. iv forgoten what its called but there is a deal you can do that lets you travel around by train and its cheaper

i'd say check out UK and ROI airports that send out cheap jumper flights. if you fly into Dublin the Taxes will be less than the UK, and you can a Ryanair flight to just about anywhere once you're there. buy now when you see a deal. check all london airports, Manchester, Dublin, and Shannon. be aware of baggage allowance on jumper flights though. if you go over they'll charge you around 5 quid a Kg.
