Transportation to/from Denver and Vail

Hey, not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here it goes. My 3 friends and I are going to Vail January 14th to 20th. We're flying into Denver and are wondering what the best way to get to Vail would be. We looked at some shuttle and it would be around $400 roundtrip for the 4 of us. Is there any other better/cheaper way or anyone who has a big van?

if your 21 rent a car... but if you plan on staying a fiew days the rent cost might exceed the taxi...

We're all going to be 18 so that won't work. Are there any buses or large shuttles that are cheaper?

I think you have to be 21 but they charge you more for insurance.

thats prob gonna be your best bet......i'm heading out there next weekend cuz i'm working @ Vail for the season. I could check around in town and see if there's anything else. but based on experience i'm pretty sure CME is your best option. used it before and its just fine.

CME to frisco, have someone pick you up there to cash. if not cme all the way vail.

On CME, Denver to Frisco is about $34 cheaper than Denver to Vail. How far from Vail is Frisco?

Little less than 1/2hr, but can change in a hurry if Vail pass has some bad weather.

Even Greyhound is close to 30 bucks per....and i've ridden it to Vail from Denver before and had the bus break down in Evergreen..
