since this was my first season in the park...i really only learned 180s stylish and stuff..for next year i was wondering is the transition from 180s to 3s hard? 180s are kick ass easy and i would expect 3s to be the same..do you really have to throw all that much harder?

^no!

throw them on a decent size table, like 30 feet or so. you have more control when you slow them down, and you have time to get a grab in. try to tuck up smoothly and grab if you can.

yeah it's a 180 plus a 180 hehe you do the math but i personally find it hard to chuck 3's off little shit but on big tables they are easier to land smooth than a 180

God is an American.

instead of 360, just go to 270. try and find a S rail so you can get the 270 dialed, then try 360 on a jump.

i had this problem, i could spin it but i wouldnt go passed 270 cause i thought i would kill my self, so the most impoartat thing to do is STAY COMMITTED to the trick in the air.

I found going from 180 to 360 was different. Like, dont expect to rotate like you would for a 180 then get more air so you have time to do another 180. I found when i did that, Id stall at 180 and fly backwards until i land.

ya, if possible, do it on a powder day with all your friends so you can pump each other up. iit really is about commitment. dont drop your leading shoulder and keep you chin up,

watch a pollard segment, then go sack up and throw a three safety (pop, turn your head to spot your landing and set y the rotation, then suck in your knees and stick one arm down to your skis, then COMMIT). you might fall a few times, and they might not be pretty at first, but sacking up is the first step.

there not that hard... just go off, turn your head to the direction your spinning, bend your knees, and land... i landed it on my first try... just commit

i thought the transition was really different. for 180s you don't have to take your eyes off the landing, but for 3's you have to look over your shoulder more.

yeah i found the transition between 180 and 360 to be the hardest. after u get that then going to 5's and 7's are super easy. but like someone above said^ its not like just throwing a 180 harder...cause ull stall out. u have to actually plan what ure going to do

Practice on the ground, in the driveway (whatever) without skis. Chances are, if you can do a 180 in the park, you can do it standing still, or even on a catwalk at slow speeds when you want to ski switch. Complete the rotation 360 standing still, then on the catwalk, and eventually, on the table-top.

ya well when i learned 3's there wasn't such thing as switch yet so we'd try and find go really fast into anything and figure more airtime meant easier to 3 well wrong then u just 180 and stop and fly backwards and get concussion its easer to learn them of somthin really smal so evn if u do come up short it won't matter

the smaller the jump/bump the harder u will have to spin...which mean it will hurt alot more....throw it over a decent size jump..just like a 10-15 footer and it wont hurt so much..

Its different for everyone, period.

What helped me alot, was to get really good with your 180s (only has to be on like a 15ft table or so). Then huck like your going to just trow a regular 180, and just think about going to a 3, turn your shoulder a bit just to look around and you will just come around. The first time I landed a smooth 3 I wasent even planing on doing it of the jump, I was just throwing a 180 and it just happened.

360s will be easy to learn if youve been jumping and skiing for a while. oh, and the smaller the easier for 360s. also, doing them super erect will make them even easier

what you do is look for the landingand once you see it you prolly will land

your it

you were born free and free you shall remain

Yea man i couldn't do 3's for ever i'd keep falling back when i landed, it pissed me off like a mofo, but i just stayed commited and busted my ass for like 5 hours one day and i finally got it. nowadays it's my fav trick to throw with some crossed mutes

Ski Backwards

180s off big tables are way scarier than 3s because u see how big u are going and you look down and are like holy shit how the hell am i supposed to land switch off this

just sack up man. i tried to get from 180s to 3s for a while and it took me forever because i was over thinking it. hit a jump and spin all the way around and land like normal.

why would you seriously ask that question when its just common sense. I really don't get why people ask stuff like this, I figured it out by myself without having to post in an online forum on how to spin 180 degrees more than previously. You just spin more, thats all you need to know.

^^ He's just asking for some help, give the guy a break.

Make sure you don't look down at your skis if you're gonna grab tho. This year I got into the habit of looking down by my boots and it sets you off-axis and you fuck up. Now I have to re-learn them.
