Trampolines compared to skiing?

How does a tramp jump compare to what you actually do in the air while skiing? Does a tramp help with spinning on skis or is it just fun? In other words can you practice in the summer...

There is a big difference in the psychology and weight between having skiis on and landing on snow then just throwing something on a tramp 5 feet off the ground. However it does help to get the feel down.

helps a lot. The first time i tried something inverted (misty 7) i was able to land it first try without flailing or being scared becuase i had the complete confidence that i could do it

yea it really helps and its suuuuper fun... if i had done a backflip before learning it on tramp i would have died... same with going corked, and lincolns and flatspins and rodeos and everything

spinning with skis is alot harder than jumping on the trampoline but it teaches you the basics of a trick

well its somewhat similar in tricks(except for corks because theyre impossible!) but it has a different feel without skis on. trampolines are really only good for the general motion and air awareness

the cool thing is u can learn the position ur body should be in for certian spins, inverts and grabs, u can learn alot, i say go for it its deff. alot of fun and its a workout too

i prefer just goin swimming at a place with nice diving boards. they are fun. but it only sucks when u try double fronts and land in a flop.

it's summer. most people can't ski in the summer.

Tramp skis help too. But you've got to construct them really well to avoid putting your tails through the trampoline on a bad landing.

Trampolines deff help becuse they boost your confidence and allow you to try new inverted spins. i love trapolines, its to bad i dont have one, and dont have room for one in my back yard. i am limited to learning inverted manouvers into my pool instead

deffinetly helps a shitload especially for any tr4ick besides spinning its just part of the learning curve like learn it on a tramp then go into powpow then to park tramps are big fro learning

yes. The closer you get to wearing boots and skis, the more realistic it will be. Ankle weights help simulate boot and ski weight.

trampolines help u to be aware of where u air in the air...which is the only reason people flairm their off ballance and dont know where they are
