yeah one under another, it doesnt really matter in which one goes on top, just cross em all, it works wonders

but if u have a relitively new tramp its not a great idea because the springs need to get a little worked in and if they are crossed right away the tramp surface will be hard as a rock

THats true, my trap is like 10 years old probably, it was almost shot, now its like new

i broke my brand new trampoline last summer by jumping off my roof onto it the fucking supports snapped that was gay

Momentum Session 4

i did it a year or so ago and its back to shit all my supports are bend n shit

im building a tramp though theres this playground company nearby that is having the mat made n shit

it is going to be 18 by 18 square with 14 inch springs that are really stiff and a double thick mat !

its costng me like 250 for the mat and springs and i built the frame with tubing that we use for crawlers

it should be a lot better than the olympic ones because it is igger and should have a lot more bounce

'skis are like girls , the more you have the better'

I did that, yesterday I was jumping (with a cast bc of my broken arm) did a d-spin 7, fell forward, went through the net and laned face first in a bush

it sucked

so if u cross them they get worn after a few months? could u switch em back again or would lat not work at all?

i did that in like march and it was great... its only good for a while though cause when i put it next to my shed the springs got destroyed and some ripped right out of the mat. its worth it though if ur tramps old and u dont care about it anymore

expect the worst, get the best.

ya dont do it if there pretty new...it makes it seem like new springs w/ a broken in mat on a tramp...i did it w/ mine too and its awsome

I did it and it does help, however the springs wear out after a while. Also the other day I did a rodeo 5 and I traveled way too much and I ended up taking down my entire net. To top it all off my frame is bent so in the front there is this major ass dip, it has a 5 year warrenty and I've only had it for 2 years, I'm contemplating sending it back now or waiting till summer is over. How long do you think it will take for me to get my trampoline back?

my bro was also jumping offmy shed onto it and 4 metal loops sewd onto the matt ripped out so now were missing some springs. and some are permanently streched to about 18inches

i had 2 trampolines but then one got trashed, the welds were breaking and all that fun stuff, so i took the springs from the broken one because they were only a year old and put them on my other one with the original ones and that thing launches me so high now. its insane.

Has anyone ever dug out under there trampoline to get the mat more level with the ground?

Are there replacement mats available anywhere? Something stiffer? - it seems the matt stretches more than it should.

^well that was a big bump...

i had mine for 5 years before discovering about x-ing the springs

Sorry about this big bump but, I just got a trampoline like two months ago and it has literally like no bounce, so do you suggest crossing the springs? I'm only gonna have this tramp for 3 more summers and after that I'll never use it soo... And btw, it's a wal-mart 14' trampoline.

Cross them I crossed mine yesterday too it is much bouncier, My tramp used to suck, and now I can actually bounce

you need to break it in. crossing the springs shoudl break them in a little.

also to the cusotm tramp kid...HOLLLE SHIT. that thing is going to be out of control awesome...alos proabably real dangerous,

my tramp is just starting to loose bounce and its like 7 years old but the springs are still to tight to cross so ill wait til next year

I had my trampoline for about 3 years before I crossed springs (last summer) and it was pretty tough to cross them but after a day or two of sweat and frusturation I finally got all the springs crossed. Some people have better turnouts than others as far as how much more bounce you get. I got a little more bounce than normal but nothing too huge. Its still worth it though.

Well, I just tried to cross my springs and I completely broke my trampoline. The D-rings basically cut a whole right through the nylon. I have pictures that I can post in a little bit.

i crossed every other spring it works great but the springs have streched double in size then ones i didnt but for anyone who is thinking about it i would do it because you bounce so much higher

hahahaha suckers...you guys actually have to cross your springs. my tramp is at least 12 years old and the springs are soooo bouncy. only a few of them have stretched super long, the majority of them are all a foot long and about an inch and a half wide, and there not even stretched out! horray for good manufacturing back then...new trampolines suck compared to the old ones.

ouch. i just left all my springs in the same d-ring and unhooked them on the outer ring that they clip onto and then just pulled the spring across making it go into the other slot on the outer ring and then crossing the spring next to it.....if that made any sense at all

maybe its a cheap trampoline? or the springs aren't stretched out enough yet so it caused way too much tension, causing the d-ring to tear apart from the trampoline nylon

i did it like 4 weeks ago and my hands are stiff fucked up, but dont cross springs if u have a relitivly new tramp, wait to u break the springs in

It's cool now though because wal-mart gave me a new mat (woohoo). I'll still post pics though in a bit.

i wish i had a tramp.. but i dont so i have to hop my fence into my neighbors yard it use it when there not home

timely bump. I was thinking about doing this today. Anybody set up their springs in a V shape? So you basically have two springs going to every D ring?

word im glad to hear this because my tramp has been slowly getting worse and i was never sure if crossing the springs would work
