Trampoline / Real Life

I've been spending ALL day doing huge backflips on a tramp... Now how do I transfer the knowledge and skill hereof, to skiing? What basic differences are there?

umm...... bullet-proof landinds, going about 30 km/h forward, bulky equipment, a white sky, white snow and white fog. Thats probably it.

OK, fuck, I know its a stupid question, but I just wanted to hear if anyone had some useful advice on how to tackle real jumps. In regard of leaning, popping, looking etc. etc...

anyone?

the difference between doing something on a trampoline and doing it on skis is not that big. Doing them over and over on a trampoline creates muscle memory so that when u get in the air u just do it naturally without thinking. The only thing is make sure to commit, and make sure to know how much to huck... but u should do fine

Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

i depends on the trick...cuz i know for straight flips trampin helps with the whole muscle memory thing/dialing the trick with a ton of grabs...but for tricks such as corks and d's it helps by helpin u knowing how to get out of it but it really doesn't transfer to snow when it comes to corks becuz...i know when i go up to do a cork i carve with my right ski to help to get a nice strong corked out spin...when i learn em on a tramp i didn't know about this at all...so my 1st couple attempts they looked more like weird ass flair/under with way to much rotation..

so i guess what i mean to say is do all the tricks possible on a tramp just to get the feel...but on snow its mostly just trial and error your 1st couple times

true...just cuz you can do something on tramp doesnt mean that you can do it on snow...i dont think it is the same at all...but something like a backflip dont even hesitate, they are easy as shit

if you have a descent tramp and can get high and just practice air awareness, that in itself will help you a shit ton when you take it to the hill...

i can do cork 5s through 12s on a tramp, mistys rodeos, bio's, d's, unders, and back, but the best thing i learned on a tramp is how to fall safely, you learn how to fall out of stuff, and twist so you land on the best and safest spot, once you start trying your shit on snow, you will be one step ahead of the game, and you can take more abuse, and learn tricks faster.... also, if you want to get more of a snow feeling on a tramp, put a mat, or snow, or a bunch of blankets on the ground beside your tramp, and trick off onto the soft spot.... it really helps... i could do backflips like nothin, but once i tried it off the tramp like 2 years ago, it took me a few try's to get it right... well this is a bit of a ramble... later
