Trampoline Clothes Company Ideas?

For shoes, maybe like a mix between chucks and wrestling shoes? Gives a little padding for the foot and gives the ankle a bit of support.

The logo isn't too bad for a start, but it's definitely something you really need to think about, since apart from the name it is what people first see about your brand. For the name, I was also thinking ZeroGrav might work.

As others have said, you're targeting a really niche market, so don't expect large profits anytime soon (if ever) but it's good that you're trying to find your spot in a highly saturated clothing market. For the shirts, what if you got polyester shirts (think dri-fit, soccer jersey, w/e you want) and give them a tall fit. Maybe even make a light polyester hoodie (kind of like a shirt with a hood).

Good luck with your company.

Thanks for all the input guys! The shoe idea is sick haha, I'll deffinatley be looking into making them. I'll keep you guys updated, but I'm hittin the hay for tonight.

I like the idea but word of advice stay away from heat transfer. I have made tees before using heat transfer for the graphics. Especially if your using them on a trampoline. The graphics won't last long. may crack and peel like mine and others i've seen. Look around for machines or different methods! good luck!

So you'll be competing with literally every other garment company in the world in all but 1 department, and that 1 special department will cater to an extremely specific, very small group.

A quick lesson using my earlier examples:

Adidas became huge by making soccer-specific shoes. And for awhile, their shoes were used by literally every professional. They got ridiculous exposure in all of europe, and eventually the world.

Nike became huge because they sold light running shoes that lasted much longer than previous running shoes. Every athlete needs to run at some point, and nike became well known through the olympics, world cups, etc.

Now look at your idea. It's a good idea but your go-to killer market is almost non-existent, and would gather just about no publicity. Even as a small, underground business there's no one. There's no world series of trampolining, and no one cares about it.

I wish you the best, and i hope you somehow succeed, but in the 6 years i've been on NS, someone has proposed a new, unique company idea just about every month. And apart from maybe 1 or 2, not a single one has ever made it past the "i have a sweet idea" thread stage.

Another design. 3D effect. I like it haha.

What about combining that and the balloon idea? Think of most big companies and their logos. None of them are just a word.

Apple, Nike,, Adidas, Reebok, Ralph Lauren, I think you get the idea. You want something that really sticks.

It could be cool, but I'd expext it would end up being just a kind of "brand name" thing. Like wearing a saga tall tee over some nike xxxl tee-shirt. People are all like, oh man that saga is dope, just cause it's saga. But with your "tramp clothing." it would just kind of show that you're really into trampoline. Boost the image so to speak.

So there it is. I think this is going to be my logo. It will also be a shirt design. What do you guys think? I took your advice and there it is!

Didn't read thread.. Tramp Shoes sound like a sick idea, instead of ruining your socks everytime you go on the tramp, you could wear these shoes. Like posted ^, make them kind of like wrestling shoes, but I'm imagining a kind of wraparound, 360 degree sole like court shoes (tennis). Then with ankle support while being really light at the same time. If you can succesfully design these shoes, patent them, and get a legit company to manufacture them then it could be a hit.

ITT: marketing majors that are not running a profitable business telling others how to run such a business.

here is what marketing comes down to: five steps, regardless of if its determining product range, price range, target markets, how to distribute, vision/mission statement, brand identity, etc.

1: evaluate the problem/your goal

2: list alternatives

3: rank/evaluate alternatives (score-system, discussion, ...)

4: implementing the best alternative

5: control if everything worked out how it should have and remember that information for the future

seriously, thats it. i made my general bachelor myself with a small marketing specialization and i downright hate how full of themselves marketing guys are. yeah, do this and do that and you will have a multi-million company. ok, so why dont you do it yourself? and my above 5 steps is a little far-fetched, i know, but read a goddamn marketing book and half of marketing-relevant processes look like that or are very similar.

fact is, marketing is dealing with psychology and sociology. both sectors without unambigous guidelines.

this might sound a little harsh and i am not saying that math or physics have rules written in concrete (as they dont have that), but marketing is so vague and ambiguous, its not even funny. lets say you do everything wrong you possibly can, but somehow you make profit and BOOOM, all of a sudden, its now acceptable to do that.

i like it but i think it wouldd look better if the balloon was the same size as the letters

oh, i forgot

ITT, people that think a logo is among the first one billion things you need when starting a business.

seriously, just think about different scenarios, think (or try to get some survey data) how many people would be buying what, how are you gonna produce that.

think about as much as you can and as systematically as possible. calculate how much it costs to produce whatever you want. calculate how many products you need to sell to break even.

start small to keep the risk low if you think its a good idea. for some reason i think it could work and for some other reason its doomed to fail. but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

at the very last imo, you combine what you stand for, your vision, your products, the thing that makes you special and everything else into your logo. not just something that looks cool (but what do i know, that fucked up apple has horseshit to do with computers and nobody would associate it with modern technogologies, so you might as well USE WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT.

I CONTRADICTED MYSELF. HARD. DO WHATEVER YOU THINK IS GOOD.

threads.....i wouldnt mind buying this but.....i notice that when i tramp with sweats i get really hot and sweaty so if you came up with some revolutionary product that would be a plus

just a few questions, if you can answer all of them, the logo is probably good, if not, rework some minor things:

1) what was the reason for choosing black/red?

2) why did you use the font you did use and not another one?

3) reason for size of balloon/clipartsy look?

red/black is a very hard contrast, kinda jumps to the front. then the font is kinda futuristic and the balloon is not looking like that.

its not bad and it kind of shows what a tramp firm stands for. (floating i guess). then again, i would more link it to a balloon company or something.

bild-bilder-von-bocos-benedict-abstract-composition-violett-bedrucktes-float-glas-g0005qzpni.jpg
something like that also implies "floating", think about it.

and remember that the easier/straightline, the better if you want to use it on shirts, pants, as prints, sewn-on, on a website, etc... (which your logo does a good job at imo)

just my 2c, you asked it and you got it. i am not saying that my opinion matters at all. i would assume though that its not bad to read my post and think for a second if any of my bullshit is worth a second thought.

I liked the black and red because I feel like it's simple. If it were blue and pink (example) I don't think it would look as professional. The cartooney balloon was meant for the purpose of standing out. When some has a balloon sticker on their helmet, laptop, phone, ect. I want people to notice it and ask about it. Also, once my brand gets out there, I want people to be able to be like "Hey look it's the Float Balloon." Kind've like the Snow Rev Cload and NEFF Face... I'm deffinatly going to offer shirt designs with a different color balloon and such.

christ you pussys what is with all the support in here? this idea fucking sucks, as does every single shitty other tall tee company sucks.

if he thinks its working, let him do it. idk if he is reasonable enough to start SMALL and not risk his future, but its his decision either way.

of course the market gets inflated right now. this whole skiing thing is to me a picture perfect bubble. startups everywhere trying to snag a piece of the cake, companies giving sponsorships for literally nothing, because they have no clue about advertising and dont care who is representing them.

at some point in the nearer future A TON of companies will be closed.

to me this seems like your product isn't specific enough. what makes your clothes different then anything else i could buy? what sets your clothes apart from any other pair of sweats/shorts/tees/hoodys? also don't say design, i mean in function. personally i don't think most people wouldd buy tramp specific clothes, because all they would really be would be normal clothes with special logos.

holy fucking shit.....why hasnt anyone thought of this yet but......tramp skis like those foam tramp boards that edollo used in his rehab except in ski form so you can get grabs an shit down

You should change the Standard dropdown bar to say Shop instead, it's clearer. The website colors were a bit of an eye strain. For the shirt logos, the border around the balloon could be cleaned up so it isn't as sloppy.

Also, I think you'd want your first set of items to truly represent yourself as a brand. I also second what someone else mentioned about the foam ski/board idea.

I'm gonna be productive here. Those designs are poorly done. The concept of logo, or even the logo its self is fine. The 3d one looks good. as well as the main logo. but use a nice program and set a high ppi to make it good quality. as far as the kid holding the balloon, im gonna be honest and tell you that looks like shit. but the only real idea i have seen that is unique in this thread is the shoe idea. so that would probably be your best bet to create a "new" brand.

reading over that i contradicted myself. the designs, besides the kid holding the balloon, are fine. its the quality that lacks.
