Trampo springs question

k, so I got a 14ft jumpking tramp. its fun and all but ive reached the limit of stuff i can throw on it. cause a $200 tramp just doesnt give me the air i want. the springs for that trampoline are 8.5 inches and my question is could I use larger springs to give me more bounce? i know I would have to raise the tramp off the ground more to avoid bottoming out but would the mat stil work fine? or would there be too much slack in the mat causeing the springs to pop off or in anyway be unsafe or not work? thanks just trying to figure out a cheap way for more air and the tramp guys online will obviously say no.

I doubt with a round black poly mat you will get any significant extra bounce from them. 8.5" is already big for a round tramp.

Try crossing them over each other, you will go probably 30-40% higher.

so ur sayin the real significance between 200-2000 buck trampolines is the surface material? maybe ill try and cross my 8.5s first just to see. thanks

www.jumpright.com - only 150 more than you paid and last 3-4 years easy without crossing or changing a spring..plus they get you about as high as you can get with a circular tramp without it being unsafe. It's also the largest circular made without going custom, 15ft.

for my tramp i went to home depot and got shorter springs and it made the tramp tighter. i was bouncing alot higher

Like everyone else is saying, cross the springs. But, this will only help a little bit.

THe problem is the actual mat. In order to get significantly more height, you need a different mat, used with different materials. Those trampolines cost upwards of 2,000-2,500. Not cheap, but if you have the money, definitely worth it. The problem is, they are not for outside, as the mat will wear out.

you can get a real nice black mat tramp fer like 1600 but i nice tramp like the ones in the olypics are like 8000

i have a 12 year old tramp and it is super streached out and i nocticed that i can jump a lot higher on mine then my friends fairly new tramp. they are both the same size and same sized springs. and nither of us have crossed springs.

So maybe if you loaded it up with somthing really heavy it would speed up its ageing and make it streched out.

i might need to try that crossing thing, seeing as as hard i try i can only get 7's. I just can't bounce high enough on mine, and it's brand new.
