Ight so basicly this summer iv learned so much stuff like at rampcamp and on diveingboards and just like jumping off shit into sand or whatever. So i was wondering like how far youd take something like practiceing before you try it on snow and risk injury? Like if i can do something on diveingboard perfect would it be legit for snow? And i was also wondering how many people will just try something that they think they can do with no "training" or not being able to do it on a tramp on snow and just go for it? Im wondering for if this season if it would be dumb to just huck shit that i think i can do but i have no waterramp practice or anything real good like that for, and if id prolly end up getting hurt?

What are you trying to take to snow? If its something simple, try to huck it into powder so if you fall you will be less likely to get injured. Good luck

don't try something way beyond what you did last season but i think your good if you try like a 720 if you could only do a 540 "example since i have no knowledge of your skiing".

but everythings different with skis cause you got about 10 pounds or more on your feet from skis and boots and that will surely throw you off. And i can cork nine mistie 5 rodeo 5 flatspin 7 and double of a diving bored and tramp but i can only 360 on skis. so still try stuff at the same pace and the practice will just make landing those tricks easier and i suggest trying it into powder.

don't take a back to snow if you have never done them anywhere else, it just doesn't sound like a good idea because yo need to know how to commit and spot them. if you can just jump off bleachers and do a trick then its not going to be harder on skis, just way different. i may try a rodeo to snow before anything else just becuase i cant get the rotation on anything else but i knw i can do it. something like that would help, when you understand tricks that are simmilar its easier.

i want to try a lincoln loop so badly on my skis cause i love doing them on tramps, but then when i put on the weight of boots and skis i dont think i can do it.

I tried throwing a cork or misty 5 earlier this season with no practice before hand what so ever....

lets just say that i almost landed it but my face hit the landing before my skis did. I wasn't that far off...

if you can't see the trick in your head being performed.. don't try it haha

one day you're going to have to sack up and try something new that you've never tried before. you'll never progress if you think you can't land a trick before you try it. Also, you can practice a trick on a tramp all day and still not be able to land the same trick on snow.

throw it, your gonna spin a little but let it happen. then youll have a rodeo 5 down lock! that was the first invert that i threw and once you do one you get the confidence to throw others.
to OP, throw something that you feel comfortable spotting with. try throwing the same trick on a circle tramp, a flybed tramp, and a diving board (so that its not just muscle memory to one specific place.) Then find a solid jump and just ball up thats the hardest part. best jump is a 30-footer that keeps you low to the ground on a slush day.

you sound pretty motivated. motivation = commitment = success.

my advice to you would be try at least one thing that scares you but you know you can do off snow. concentrate on that one thing and see what happens. if you get it, then thats good cause now you can transfer off snow to snow. if you do not, at least you tried and gave it a chance. you have to try sometime, and you sound pumped up to try at least once. better to try sooner than sooner in my opinion, cause the longer you wait, the more it builds up in your head and then your fucked. Every first day of the year i will do something first hit on a jump (AFTER I SCOOPED THE FEATURE) because it gets me going early and send my confidence through the roof if i land it. good luck.

i tryed back flip on snow befor i ever tried it on a tramp an almost landed it so dont be scared to try any thing

i think im more scared doing backs on tramps than on snow. cuz snow you know you can hit tranny or whatever. on the tramp theres bars and scaryyyy shitt.

id say its easier doing backflips on snow than from a divingboard. i got injured doing backflips from the divingboard, because i didnt get enough away from the board when doing a double and after the first rotation hit my foot on the board and my face in the water. lol it wasnt nice.

but they are way easier witha steep kicker into a steep landing, because the shape of the kicker brings you backwards anyways. front flips are way different on snow then on land. because of the 80cm skis you have sticking infront of your foot. you cant just get the inertia for the rotation from the grip your feet have with the ground, and your tips make you bounce back up right. thats why when i tried a front flip first i landed on my back/neck. luckily it was pow and nothin happend. if you wanna throw a frontflip on snow, try throwing a superman front, but dont hold the superman for long, just bring your body forward, and then tuck immediatley. rodeo 5s are also simpler, for the lincoln part of the flip, put your ear on your shoulder and youll flip automatically, thelift your ear slightly from the shoulder at the middle of the jump and look behind you. then the last 180 rotation will follow and hopefully youre on your feet :D

well if you get beyond this point, then you can please help me.

hope what i said makes sense to you.

peace
