because the vx1000 has better quality than the vx2000, and the vx2000 has beter quality than the vx2100. I've heard the vx2100 isn't very good and most people like the vx1000 or the vx2000 more.

I don't know where you get your info. Anyways the vx2100 isnt that mcuh better than the rest, just a few improved features. So it sounds like hes trying to get some cash and is downgrading to the vx1000 which isnt too much different.
