You can use any lens with a Minolta A-Mount...from the 80's up throguh today. Sony bought out Minolta's tech and no manufactures all the same stuff they used to. I shoot it and I love it. And the best part is there arent fanboys all over the place running up prices on it.

You can pick up a mint 50mm f1.7 Minolta for $100...one of the best shooting lenses I've ever handled, and super nice bokeh...

You could get a Canon lens for that price, but you aren't going to have the image quality in the way it was manufactured.

(Note: I am not dissing on Canon or Nikon. If I had the money, I would be shooting a D3 in a second. I am just saying that bang for the buck right now in DSLR's AND the related equipment is all about Sony/Minolta) Buy this guys stuff.
