Trade Computers anyone?

So, I have a black/silver HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv5 that I bought in September for school. I'd intended on studying engineering and needed a PC to run some high-power CAD programs, but because i've since switched to Art/Journalism majors, I'm missing my macbook hardcore. I'm looking to trade for any MacBook in good condition, and could possibly throw in a little extra. My current computer runs well and has no cosmetic damage, like new. Comes with Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Photoshop Elements (real PS is too expensive!), installed with Vista, AMD Turion x2 processor. Also has HP Webcam and blu-ray player. woo hoo! oh, and the sticker can come right off.

trade me a macbook pro and i'll throw in the puppy...

windows vista is actually real sick. if you need a windows for school or something i would take this deal and trade it up..

I don't think you are going to have any luck with that trade. I would say just use that comp until u can save up enough money for a mac book i. e. get a job and buy one with a credit card or something (u prob get student discount) and pay off the CC if u really want one that bad. Macbook pros are kind of expensive too fyi

You dont have to have a mac to do art, yea they are nice, but you will be fine with what u got

actually, my friend put his PC on craigslist for a trade, and someone took him up on it 2 hours after he posted it. so i definitely figured it was worth a try. and, uh...i have a job, but it's pretty silly to spend all that money on another computer when mine works just fine. i definitely know that you don't need a mac as an art student, i simply prefer the mac platform, and have been a loyal mac user for as long as i can remember (before this puter), and now that i don't need a pc, i'd rather not have one, nawmean? oh, and a macbook pro is far out of my league financially at this point, although it's a fabulous computer, i have little intention of acquiring one... but thanks for the input anyhow..

I'd be willing to bet my left pinky on the fact that you know next to nothing about computers of any sort, PC or Macintosh.

Thread creator:

Give us the specs on the machine, anyone who'd be interested probably wants that info.

Although Mac's definitely have an overall advantage, you probably want to make sure you won't run into any issues with the software being Windows only or more costly for the other version.

yes, he is! do you have one?

and since we're on the subject... the products of boredom on christmas break and a cooperative little subject.
