I made a thread like this earlier in the spring and i just wanted to update. Where is everyone in their Track season? hows your team doing? and whats your p.r. (personal record) on the year in your event?

ya im running track. our team has a chance to send a couple runners to state. i run the mile and 2, but i wwas sick for like three weeks and ive only run in two meets. my best so far is 5:25 but im running in my last race of the year today, it will probably be more like 5:00. my best 2 mile is11

fucked up my ankle, and i was only able to compete in two meets. my time for the 100 is 14 flat. its not that great. my long jump was also 14 flat.

I have my college conference meet this weekend, so it should be some nasty competition. I'm only triple jumping, and really would like to place. I've gotten 7th twice in the past two years, and top 6 place. I have jumped 47'5" so far, and need to jump at least in teh 48s to place. I'm pretty excited, although my foot has been bothering me a bit lately

Yeah my ankle has been bothering me too, and i have regions tomorrow so hopefully ill be able to get into the 15's in the 110's

aha sick i go to niwot i donno if youve heard of us, were kinda small, but youd better watch out for our XC team-except our best runner tore his acl skiing so he wont be as good- but yaya. whats your best XC time?

U ran XC back in high school for all 4 years and my best recorded time was an 18:23. wouldn't even come close to that now.

I run long distance. I was also wicked sickfor two weeks. It takes so much out of you. When you start runing it feels like you are doing it for the first time. My PR for the mile is 5:08 and the two mile is low 11. That's really bad for me though, considering I ran that in 10th grade, which was two years ago for me.

i throw javelin and so far have maxed out at 139 ft. Not too bad for my league but i definitely should be doing a lot better.

i run distance, my prs are 1600=4:35, 3200=10:11, 800=2:03

my best xc 5k was like a 16:35ish? but not really accurate because no course is the same. thats on a fast course

Yea dude..your team is really good...I saw you guys at the liberty bell meet... Where goin to be good next year though cause were all sophmores, with on running a 15:50, 16:10, 17:00 and then me at 17:30..so we just need a good 5th runner

I've got the league meet on Wednesday this week. My team went 5-1.

I'm a junior and I pole vault. I'm actually leaving in like 2 minutes to go down and vault at my club. My p.r. is 13' 9" and hopefully after Wednesday it'll be 14' 1", the new school record. Mad close.

Good luck in your last few meets guys. Hold it down for the skiiers!

I run in college and my season is over

6'6'' for high jump

15.8 hurdles with no form

49.02 400

11.02 100

10'6'' pole vault (not bad for decath)

not bad for being hurt for indoor and having to get back into shape

My track and field season has not begun yet, but here are some of my PR:

5k: 15:43

10k : 34:55

XC 6k : 19:25

Planning to do around 1:57 at the 800m run and 9:00 on the 3k (track)

Im a soph in high school, currently on the JV team. Our last meet is tomorrow, so far our varsity team is undefeated and we won MVC conference meet. Hopefully we will win districts and take it to state.

I've been doing well considering i missed most of preseason due to a broken arm.

1.03 400 lows

16.38 shuttle hurdle

I'm satisfied, most of my stuff is dece, but not enough to make varsity, so i'll have to train and shit this summer.

13 6 school record polevault last year....threw down some much higher ones at camp but those dont count......this year is a disaster, hurt my back wrestling, then strained some serious muscles in my legs a few weeks into track, made it worst by casing the shit outa a jump doing a front flip skiing and i havent found a good pole to use so ya im gettin owned this year FUCK SENIOR YEAR PV haha..hopefully i get a pole this weekend and suck up my injuries and get this shit rollin'.....as for the other vaulter who posted on here-nice job and good luck, vaulting > any other track and field event

I know your pain, my senior year vaulting was a disaster. I think my pr for the season was 13, which isn't to bad. The worst part was I had the worst shin splints of my life the whole season, it was to the point where I could barely walk after practice and around school going up and down stairs. Although I did learn how to do front flips off my pole.

i am in high school in CO. my team sucks as a whole cause we have no spinters that are any good, but my pr in the 800 is 1:58 400=52 and 1600=4:45 but ive only run it once.

we have regionals this week so hopefully i can bring my 800 down to 1:57 and qualify for state

Good luck at that man, im like 2 seconds off of our school record in the high hurdles and im a junior so i doubt ill get it. But if you get that record let me know thats a sick accomplishment.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I'm turnin 30 this summer and I prob couldn't touch the time that I ran in HS.

That 800 time is really good and the 400 isnt bad either, i ran my first 400 ever last meet and i ran 55

ran track last year then blew out my ankle when they dident rake the long jump pit at an invitational. fuckin kids. i was jumpin over 22 constintantly and sometimes gettin close to 24. i miss track, totally wish i could still jump.

south reginals coming up soon, and hopefully i got lockdown for finishing top three. and then its on to metros where ill probably get owned..i placed 9th at a meet early that was with all the cities (most) in Ontario combined

I only really ever had 1 good time, my 800. I ran a 2:00 for that, and I could do that pretty consistantly.

I was hoping to go under 16:30 in the 5k, and under 4:30 in the mile my senior year but I stress fractured both of my femurs (thigh bones) pretty retarded... oh well, at least I had good 800 times.

This year has been crap all around, we had three meets cancelled, so we're only getting three legit meets before regionals. I've decided to run the 200 this year, which I've been getting 23.00 in. 400= 50.01, 4x1= 44.00. I haven't run the 4x2 yet, but I will after conference; then we should rape with a 1:29. Long jump= 21' 1.5". There seem to be alot of fast times on here, good to see that skiers can run too.

Yeah there are a lot of people with good 400 times and ive seen some good 800 times too, you guys make my 54 in the 400 look bad.

I run middle distance for NYU, 1500 - 8k

800 - 2:02 (high school)
1500 - 4:08 (4:25ish mile converted)
Mile - 4:28
2 Mile - 10:03 (On route to 5k PR, I barely ever run longer than the mile, hah)
5k - 15:51

That is a good disc throw especially for a soph. because most the kids at my school throw those distances and they are juniors and seniors

hah word you know calvin lee then? He's my boy... tell him ted said hi, unless you guys finished classes already

XC 5k is 18:54 without summer running, which is decent for me. Looking to get it down in the 17s in the next 2 years. Track, im embarassed to say my 1600 time is in the upper 5s. Yeah I don't care about track.

Ever since I finished football, I haven't ran track. Good riddance, honestly for me it's not that fun, I mean if you find running around an oval fun than it's your thing, but it's not my bag.

Before injuries 15:45 5k, 4:28 mile (junior year HS)...after injuries...well haven't raced since then really. Being injured sucks. And by injured I mean chronic hamstring injury that's persisted for 2yrs. Avoid them if at all possible.

Good luck everyone!

I wonder how much of you are telling the truth about the times. The guy that said he ran 15 and some odd seconds might be a state champ and a national contender. The fact that we all ski must mean we don't train much in the winter, making it harder to run a 5k in the 15 minute range.  Many of you others say you run times in the 16 minute range, very fast times, although none og you probaly train in the winter. It all seems a bit odd to me.

^well not nescessarily about the training. i train all winter and still ski a ton, both weekend days and often weekdays, i still run while in the mountains. and i train all summer too. i ran a 18:55 this year (freshman year) and i think i can get low 17's this year. yeah 15 would be pretty could, but i know B-Rent is legit, his team is in my state and ive seen them & him run before

just ended my season this past weekend. Placed 6th in my conference in triple jump with a PR of 48' 5.5". I bruised my heel doing it but im happy!

My High school swept boys and girls 2A state track last year (WA) and are planning to do it again. But I personally play lacrosse..

Did you guys hear about the girl in Texas that won her state meet for her team all by herself. She won all 4 events she entered which i think were the disc, jav, 200, and the last one I forgot. But she won with like 45 points and 2nd place had 36 or something like that.
