very nice, plus karma for a great post and a deep feeling in the pit of my stomach that is my longing to ski that you have just risen

I just switched editing software. #3 was edited with Final Cut Studio 2, which I find doesn't like 30fps helmet cam footy as much- it screws with the keyframe markings.

#4 was edited with Premiere Pro CS3 which is a little less intuitive than FCS2 but handles the footage a bit better.

The cam itself is a V.I.O. POV.1 using their wide angle lens.

Hope that helps,

Jake

wow, thanks for making me hate my self, cause i totally wish i could be there, although it is now singletrack season, so i duno, i guess i can hold out a couple months longer.

ah so u got the wide angle

is it that much better?

im thinkin about it, for 150 i figure why not, cuz the other lense i had kinda sucked. so much so that i bought the camera for my big trip to whistler for the first time and i came like two days before i left and it was fucked up and blurry and i had to send it back when i got home and all my whistler footy is shit. so sad ill never see it how it really was lol, fucking new jersey.

I would say for just standard shooting the wide angle makes quite a bit of difference. Gives a better perspective of what you see when your skiing. However, if you're shooting other people I would imagine the standard (classic) lens is much better as I have to be extremely close to people to shoot them using follow cam w/ the wide angle.
