crash park 2 alpes touriste via Skipass.com

From the site:

"un touriste pas freestyler dans l'âme qui c'est fait une belle frayeur... bilan hélico plus bassin en vrac mais ça aurait ppu être bien grave"

Hopefully someone can translate it

Did anyone here happen to be there? i wonder what happened to this guy

AltaVista- Babel Fish Translation

a tourist not freestyler in the heart which it is made a beautiful

fright... assessment helicopter plus basin in bulk but that would

have ppu to be quite serious

hope that helps. and that guy got slammed

haha, my thoughts precisely. i can see it now- kid stands up in court and explains why the resort is responsible for his 'fail' and the whole court, including the judge burst out in fits of laughter...

"no 'ard feelingz monsieur, but 'zat iz not how we do feengz over 'ere. au revoir."

It's the owner of the rcr corporation not liking terrain parks that's at fault for them not having paprks. he didn't even give anyone notice. He just didn't want them and cut them, personal decision not business at all.

that was big... wow and no, they don't do ridiculous law suits for shit like that in Europe, I was there for a while and there are too many people who wreck themselves like that.

holy shit....i watched a gaper kid do that at my hill by over shooting a 40 ft table by at least 20 ft past the landing.....he broke his spine in two places and had a concussion and some intense facial bleeding.....it hurts me just to watch that

For a gaper I'm impressed. Most gapers I see would have:

a) not had enough speed to make it up the entire lip, so they would track up the lip and ski down the other side ruining it.

or

b) Landed on the deck.

I'm surprised he sent it that far.

that was awesome! made my day! my fav tho is the people who hit the big jump but go just fast enough to get off the lip and then they fall straight down the the flat!

thank you... I hate all the little gapers who want to go through the park so they can go off the inruns to rails and go back and say they did all this cool stuff to there hick friends

My brother has been skiing that place all winter and went over that jump right before that guy. He said that the wind had kicked up so that you had a tailwind coming into the jump and apparently the in run is super long so the wind has time to really change your speed. This dude mighta been alright if he hadnt overshot so much.

that is plain and simple wrong. anyone who knows nothing about park skiing will run into that kicker as fast as he can (so fast that he isnt scared by the speed, that is maybe the only limitation of a gapers inrun speed).

the more you know about kickers, about the right inrun speed, about consequences of an under/overshoot, the more youre aware of big kickers.

believe me, its like that. my gf is park skiing too (like 15 ftrs or what since she started that year) but is aware of bigger jumps (but she can ski well, is standing on skis for years).

and then, a slightly younger girl than her from netherlands or wherever that can barely stands on skis hits our roller line and overshoots it.

if you have no clue about park skiing, then you will just run in the kicker with all the speed you can get on the specific obstacle/inrun, no matter if the lip is 15 ft high and/or the table 22 metres long

You guy's do know that most people, even those that ski, have no idea what it takes to hit a park jump or feature of any kind. This guy was just ignorant. Hopefully he knows better now.

Actually, you'll be surprised. In Europe, a lotta [euro] tourists ski around thinking their the shit, hardcore, and that they're better than everyone.
