Touring in the Gats

So this year, me and some buds are going to be doing some skins up in the gatineau hills this winter (if it ever comes -.-) to get our powder fix. I was wondering if anyone wants to come up with us to enjoy all the pow the Gats have to offer, or if anyone knows of good routes and stashes out there. also thought of skinning up gray rocks (closed ski hill 10 min from tblant), has anyone done this, if so is it worth it?

Ive hiked grey rocks one time before and it was sick! just be careful and plan your run down because of rocks and other shit you'd run into skiing down an abandoned mountain

how deep was the snow pack when you did it. planning to wait till a 200ish cm snow pack depending on how quick it comes. do you think thatd give good enough coverage.

Honestly im not 100% sure man, we were driving up planning on skiing trembs in march, 2 years ago now a few days after a big storm. Drove by grey rocks and saw some deep tracks and decided to say fuck it. It was definitely deep though like 125cm at LEAST i'm guessing, its just a different pack though because its all natural and not packed down ever so it was pretty penetrable all the way through. Just be careful and check your run! hit me up if your ever gonna send it, me and homies are gonna build a booter if theres enough snow

yeah ill shoot you a pm if we ever decide to go for it, it'll probably be late jan or early feb. it seems like a good way to ski some pow around here.

Definitely a few good pitches. One great area I know that's been cleared of brush and smaller trees. That one's staying a secret though. Whoever cleared it years ago doesn't seem to ski it so it's always untracked and I may like to keep it that way.

But if you want the easy access look into hiking Alexander at Fortune if it's still closed.
