looking for a good touring binding i've looked at dukes but ive heard there heavy. Any RednA bindings you guys would suggest to me....? +k for solid answers

what type of skier are youWhat do you ski

What skis do you have

how much do you weigh

Looking for a tech binding or a din binding?

Holy shit hahaha that's the best incorrect spelling of Randonee I've ever seen.

But yes. Dukes are fine. Good binding to ski inbounds and dabble in the bc as well.

if you are going to mostly be skiing inbounds (85% inbounds) then

Duke or Tracker/Guardian 16 if you need that high of din

or

Baron or Tracker/Guardian 13 if you can get away with a 13 din (lighter weight = better for touring)

If you are going to be doing a fair bit of touring (60% inbounds)

Tour F12 or Fritschie Freeride

If you are going to be doing a lot of touring (more than half the time)

Dynafit, Plum, other dedicated AT bindings

F10 will be fine for you. I know strong skiers who weigh 170lbs+ who have had no problems with F10 & F12s.

it has to do entirely with how much you're planning on skinning. they are heavy and shitty to skin with, especially if you could be on dynafits, but if you're skiing inbounds too then you want a more alpine-oriented binding

How much are you gonna skin? Once you go Dynafit you'll NEVER go back.

Dukes suck, the pivot point is all fucked up and they have a ton f slop. The solly's are a lil better in my opinion but they still aren't that great.

If you're doing a lot of backcountry travel fritschis are decent, I have an older pair on some Karma's, they have a bunch of slop but they tour pretty well and are light.

Bear in mind that you'll need a tech binding compatible boot for this. Full Tilts do not have tech fittings.

Dynafits or Plum. At 135lbs, I don't think you've got much to worry about in terms of bomberness. I saw Hoji looking to hit Jordan last week on Dynafits, so...

That won't work with an FT boot, unfortunately. As Ankhou said, they do not have tech fittings so you would be looking at new boots and bindings, which is a steep price for occasional touring. I would recommend looking at non tech AT binders first, like the Fritschi Freeride Pro, Marker Tour F10/F12, Baron, or the Guartian 13 being released for next year. At 135 pounds you likely don't need a 16 DIN like the Duke or current Guardian/Tracker/Adrenalin.

Having said that, I had MFD/FKS for 1 year and put 25 backcountry days on them. I thought they worked great right up until the first day I used my Dynafit setup. Once you go Dynafit, you'll never go back. So if you want to spend the money and dedicate a setup pretty much completely to touring, then you will see the benefits.

get salomon guardians/atomic trackers... I have the trackers and they are just as heavy as dukes but its really not that bad... I took them on a full day tour and just today I was spinning threes on a backcountry jump... if i can spin a three on em, they aren't too heavy plus they are super solid and easy to use and just as expensive as dukes
