Yay!! That sounds so fun!!

Grab some skinz and a bud that really knows what they’re doing and are capable of digging you out if ever need be...

If your able to, get a beacon, probe and a shovel! Those camel back bladder deals are pretty dope to keep in a pack, and some canned tuna WITH A POP LID(haha don’t forget the pop lid, it’ll ruin your day?) grab a pack that you can throw some skis on the back:) and if your super rich, one with an airbag...

Look into the local Avy center to check conditions before you head out, and if your by yourself (not a good idea buuuut) tell someone where your going and when you think you’ll get back... don’t get Solomon bindings they suck haha!

HAVE FUN! Post pics so we can see?

?Bahaha yeah the pics must ft the pop top cans

I have a BCA tracker 3 it’s got a bunch of cool features! As far as shovels go, just get ya one that is retractable so it’ll fit in your pack:D

Im gonna start off my 2nding that Tuna recommendation+ some ritz or whatever cracker suits your fancy! SNACKS would be my biggest advice because they make everything better. Trail mix, pb&js, and mad bars.

Also for sure on the beacon/shovel/probe its always worth it. I also have the BCA Tracker that I like, its super easy.

Gonna recommend checking out Cast touring for your bindings. I run cast on my Hojis and Bibbys for touring and I love it. I ski more inbounds than bc so it allows me to keep the normal alpine set up for resort days and for when we venture out you can throw on the dynafit toes and crush the uphill. In most cases you can find someone selling a used plate system for bindings you already own, the only downfall is you need boots with a tech toe (or Cast will add them to your own boot for a fee). I still love the system and if you're really cool you can install quiver killers and take the plates off when touring isnt on the table for a while to save a little weight inbounds.

Tour in Flylows Foxy bib makes it easy to pee.

Hydrate days before it helps.

Trucker hat to keep the head warm but allows to still stay cool enough on the way up.

Organize everything in giant ziplock bags. So when pulling an item out the rest doesn’t go flying everywhere.

Carabiner on the water bottle. I fucking lost my bottle — well it actually rolled off the peak down the mountain into the bush somewhere because it was windy.

Chapstick and sunblock even if you don’t feel like it unless you want to look like a tomato the next day.

Find a setup you love otherwise it’s not fun. Especially boots.

Most importantly have fun. And KBYG.

In terms of securing gear I'd definitely check out sideline swap and other used gear sites. Got my touring setup on there for 400 bucks (Moment bibby & marker frame bindings). Definitely a move, no need to drop bread on new gear if you're just getting into it. (I wouldn't necessarily recommend the Moments, got a core shot my first day out the bases are stupid thin). Also I'd for sure go with a frame binding, it'll be much cheaper since you don't have to buy new boots

All the safety stuff everyone covered.

Also get a she wee, super weird, I know, but it's sooooo much easier to pee on the go and you can focus on startling hydrated instead of metering your br breaks.

Or bibs with the butt opening! Game changer

OKAY! Well I bought one of those she wee things and determined that it was impossible with normal underwear... am I doing it wrong??

You have to pee like a 3 year old boy. Kind of strattle your legs like shoulder width or a bit more and lean forward. Definitely best to practice lol. Make sure you're pushing it against yourself enough to seal it ?

Also great for road trips

Better than trying to drop trow in the cold and/or wide open lol. Really not too bad sounds worse than it is.

Eh that’s probably true I guess, one time I fell bare butt into the snow and it was soooooo bad
