yeah I have a lot of respect for him. I've been watching it pretty religiously since it started, today he took it easy. I hope he wins it, so far it looks like hes got it but i dont want to jinx it. ulrich and basso are fun to watch too, hes got lots of competition this year, but i still think hell do it.

the only thing we ever watch at camp is the tour de france cause canadian tv sucks. It is so tight whenever he always pulls off his wins in the last seconds of races

haha i get to see him come in tomorrow on Champs Elysee near the arch de triomph. sorry to gloat. anyway, hes pretty much won it at this point. hes been wearing the yellow jersey for days now. i cant wait to see that american flag go up near the arch. go lance!

 
my roots are in germany, so i am a big fan of ullrich and kloeden. I can't stand lance winning every stage. But i have alot of respect for him. It is impossible for him to be doped. Next year is germans time.

And his team gets the whole money. Every stage win and every day in the yellow jersey and the win at the end is money. And that all is gathered. After that it is splitted to every member of the team.

yeah lance does get more...but for the past few years he has given double pay to his teammates for sticking with him and helping him win. basically, the 7 (or 9 - i cant remmember) team members split $500 000 equally for winning the tour. i think thats right...

whoever said that the guys on the postal team don't get any credit is exactly wrong. all lance says after races is, 'so and so pulled me up the hill like a champ, my team kicks ass and i love them, blah blah blah' and the annoucers are always saying 'the postal team is full of badass motha fuckahs and lance knows it and tells them that etc.'

Hamilton's from the US. That was kind of weird when lance made that one guy get out of the front pack, cus the dude sued him. Personally, I think those issues shouldn't be dealt with while on a bike, but i can understand why Lance would be mad.

i think its kinda cheap when lance and other riders have 'helpers' because they go in front of them and let him drift so he dosnt have to work as hard

^ May I say you are a fuckin moron, that is how the sport works. Each team designates a leader, thsi is the person who will win the tour if any of them do. It's not cheap because every person who is going for a tour victory has teammates helping them. That is the cool thing about road racing, it is actually very team orientated. The only thing I think is that some of the guys who do the dirty work, like drop back to the team car and get supplies, food, or water don't get much appreciation to the general public. But it really isn't cheap in anyway.

every rider in the Tour has my complete respect, I went out riding the other day, it was hot, and only after a few miles did I begin to feel tired. And I wan't even keeping my speed up like in a race.

Honestly those guys dont get paid enough, and some of htem make a shitload of money. Road racing is probably one of the hardest sports out there. All the pros have been doing it since they were extremely young and its not liek any guy who is in good shape can be a good rider. You need a ton of experience too. They are definetely some of the most underrated athletes out there.

 
^yeah, I was kinda surpries how old some of the guys where, it seems that you have to be in the Tour a few years before you have enough expirience to win it.
