I was under the impression that a lot of the Europeans also liked lance but all of the journalist try to bash him and from what anewmorning said, sounds like they are even trying to set him up.

The spitting is true, i was just reading about it in the NY times, and i dont think they lie too often. Also one thing that was hilarious was they have a picture of a guy in the middle of the road giving Lance a thumbs down.

I think Lance accused a reporter of sneaking into his hotel room trying to plant drugs, but i dont think there was anything final. I also just read that some tour official said that if lance wins this year (and he will), he won't come back next year, but i kinda don't believe it.

lance is the best there is, no doubt, but it'd be a hell of a lot closer race if the rest of postal wasn't so damn good, but no one gives them any credit. lance gets all the interviews and publicity and the rest of the guys work just as hard and get nothing. i mean shit, azevedo's in fifth place, and he's not in it for himself at all, but he's that good

im just finishing reading 'every second counts'. dont say shit about lance till you read it, hes not cocky at all. hes the hardest working motherfucker on the goddamn face of this planet. in the middle of his cancer struggle (when most people dont have the energy to get out of bed) he was 'off the saddle' on his stationary bike in his garage killin' it.

but its true, the european press hates him (and a lot of europeans themselves), but at the same time there are tons of people who love him. the french press have been after him and still are ever since the '99 tour when they had his urine and blood samples for over a year trying to find a way to incriminate him of doping.

i have so much respect for lance, its unbelievable. i dont think people realize how down-to earth he really is. read 'every second counts', pretty easy read, and it shows just how incredible lance is.
